hdb should explore layouts that allows spatial flexibility, eg. open concept kitchen that links to living with opportunity to add glass sliding partitions if needed, washroom should be placed at the corner much like how hotels are done, etc.

What’s the total size sqm or sqft

this appears to be comprising of 2 x 3BR flats, but not exactly, there are some variations to it. but in terms of size, approx. 2x3BR unit.
me now corner 3BR, also hoping neighbor willing to sell and buy over to combine. past few yrs they don't want, just rent out to collect marnie.

Dont choose master bedroom door partially blocking the bathroom for any type of bto .

No safety hdb design , hdb replied due to space constraint

E.g Old 2 room design ( chg to sliding door)

Ya lor, but scared they just build even smaller. Now the living room really too small sia. If 2 people need wheelchairs, how to squeeze into the other side od the dining table?

Still hv for other types of BTO w partial master bedroom door blocking bathroom. Damn stupid HDB for non safety.

HDB only rectified for 2-room bto to sliding door.

still prefer the olden days HDB layout. big spacious, no wasted space.. kitchen big can put a small dining table inside and yet have another big round table for 10 pax outside

Smaller and more sexpensive. Already cut cost of space n materials still price up. By the way they impork material frm indon n jiuhu right so why don't enjoy currency differences?

A huge rectangle for the living and dining area.

The toilet layout is correct i.e. door, basin, wc, shower, window.

Only thing is the kitchen is a bit small, but that is okay.

I think also no more this type. Now 5 room all can separate into another study.

The toilet is really good. Can do wet / dry separation.

The kitchen is not really small, just look small in comparison to the enormous living room.

The bedroom hallway is still long, but at least don't have another main entry hallway.

I stay under flyovers and move "house" every few days. Got pigeon hole to stay considered very fortunate for me.

You can put cupboards along the hallway. Or put a retractable single bed can put down during night time.
