You can put cupboards along the hallway. Or put a retractable single bed can put down during night time.
Put bed then front door and kitchen blocked. Cupboard also hard to put since there are entry ways on all sides.

How you calculate the price?
IMG-20190919-010350.jpg

1.34 x (1.9+1.9) = 5.092
That's about 13.5% of the area. Now 1 bto is 110k to 277k.

hdb should explore layouts that allows spatial flexibility, eg. open concept kitchen that links to living with opportunity to add glass sliding partitions if needed, washroom should be placed at the corner much like how hotels are done, etc.
U know those malls sliding one the glass break how many times or not
At home put this kind of thing day in n day out is only for show n not practical

My favorite layout in the newer flats is this one in Punggol.

A huge rectangle for the living and dining area.

The toilet layout is correct i.e. door, basin, wc, shower, window.

Only thing is the kitchen is a bit small, but that is okay.

Nice I like this layout. Big square living, rooms all in one corner not facing living room.

my house is using glass sliding doors for kitchen.
glass breaks in malls are usually accidents.
the way you put across, better all walls. we are in different frequencies.

HDB terrible design. Always put toilet in the middle of the house. Main door facing hall window. very bad fengshui.

No thoughts about aircon ducting. You see the Tengah centralised air-con fiasco. Rooms so small still use dry wall. No privacy at all.

The walkway leading to the rooms is a waste of space and dark.

New BTOs are smaller and thinner cos they are built in modular and need to transport by trailer~ many parts of the precast flat are from Malaysia btw~ :s22:

Hope HDB design for non 2- room can easily cater as studio apartments in case need to rent it out due to crisis.

i .e main door walk in - turn left is 1 studio n turn right is another studio, both bathrooms are at the back.

I also like corridor facing the sun, too many lights are use for current bto, waste our S&CC $$$. 😡

so small yet so expensive. layout is funny, make the already small size worse

We must thank PAP for ensuring Sinkies don't have to do so much household chores and don't waste water mopping floor space we don't use.

This 2-room layout good or not?

I'm planning to use the small room as my bedroom and the HH shelter as wardrobe. Then, Living Room will be bedroom + living/dining. Sofa & TV in the positions stated in the image.
