yes correct. also depend if the weather is too hot and he use ac in the afternoon then really need 12k

for me, i afternoon will nv switch on AC unless i am sick at home else i always walk around in mall or hide in library for their power socket and aircon

i mention i seal up my room, also due to aircon as neigh next door same size as me, got 24k btu which i posted her aircon condensor before. she complain her bill is $100 plus plus. of course so much la, open concept somemore of course need more power la


so here what i mean. what i mean when i install a door to save on the aircon bill

But your roller blinds between bedroom and living hall will have some gaps for leakage, so when you on aircon when sleeping, you are cooling the hall as well.

Even with one year ban penalty for non selection count nowadays, still got chance to get unit with 1.3x ballot number?
Not all are motivated buyers.

Some are very particular about Fengshui, they only aim for some stacks (unit-numbers) with the right facing. Some are more particular about the levels, only want high floor. Some are particular about unit-numbers.

Some only want Type 1 or Type 2.

Sometimes before they go down for flat selection, a BTO project in better area come along.

Most elderly ones who are downgraders may hiam this or hiam that. They do not really need to sell their current house, they just want to try their luck.

Most buyers would rather give up one chance of flat selection than to choose a "bad" BTO.

Somehow this was true for my parents case. Our number was quite far away, we thought we wouldn't stand a chance to choose, some more my dad insisted for bigger type 2 units. When our turn came, we were surprised to see many high floor units with no west sun still available, but corner units all gone lah.

That time no penalty, so ppl suka suka apply, can't say the same for now.

i off ac when i sleep, i only need them when i am at home using pc, watch tv etc....
I am confused, since you don't need aircon to sleep, why do you remove the bedroom door? You just need aircon to cool the hall.

ya just need to cool the room, by the time i off ac 4 to 7 hr later, then cool air in a enclosed room will stay cool till the next morning. of course with stand fan on

haim so much that apply bto until 50s still dont have a flat yet

Do you mean some don't mind getting one year ban for non selection count then?

What's the odds of getting a unit with queue number 1.3x of units available, especially with the penalties for non selection count nowadays?
It really depends on the project location that you've applied. If is Tengah chances are very high. I got applied Tengah Brickland Weave in Feb my queue number exceeds the actual available units by around 60+. HDB sent me an appointment date and time to go down to book a unit. I checked online thru HDB website 1 day b4 my appointment date still got more than 120+ 2 room flexi units available for selection. Due to a lots of bad publicity a lots of flat buyers never turns up for flat selections. I also never turns up as I've booked my air ticket for my holidays. My flight was in the morning yet my appointment is late afternoon.
Subsequently I received a warning letter from HDB stated that I've accumulated 1 count of never turns up for flat selection. If missed another time then will be suspended for 1yr can't apply BTO. Hope the above infos help.
