Welfare for middle class and poor also. If really that bad, then the 70% mandate come from where. Majority of the population here still the middle class and poor. People can see and feel on the ground also if things go south

I work and live in Australia daily.

People here fight for their rights.

Unlike SG, there's no real Union or you don't even see anything in news or hear anything that the Gov dislikes.

Although we are not strong in our union as compare to European or western countries but we start to shows improvement in that. NTUC union is one of the e.g. testing things out

i can safely say there are definitely more than 10 countries around the world where chiu get a better SOL as a middle income (read: not rich) taxpayer
we are a city, going overseas ish not a big deal especially when surrounding countries all way cheaper than us. Equivalent to someone taking a trip to another city in a bigger country

I been to many places not juz jb such as Taiwan, hk, china, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia and new Zealand. To Sinkies still affordable, some of them top 10 most expensive city some more. SGD purchasing power not so strong in new Zealand as I know of

Let me give you some facts here, throughout the past 3 to 5 elections, you know who are the winners that win big margin. The votes already do the talking what people really wants in the gov body. Opposition need to start from the hard times to create their foundation. I believe many young generation can't take the heat. Start from scratch doesn't necessarily rebuild the nation. It can be many meaning. You can compare other countries, after change of gov, how policy change affect or benefit them. I bet to differ this, just look at Taiwan as an example. Throughout the years they keep changing gov, either green or blue. They are focusing on how to fix the opposition once they are elected and doesn't spent the key moment to fix the country issue and end up own citizen bare the consequences. If keep changing gov will not help much. Only way to keep consistently good record about the country to progress is best stay with the same gov vision.
