The circumstances surrounding the death of HK actress Kathy Chow, who passed away earlier this month (Dec 11) at the age of 57, has finally been revealed.

According to a statement to the media from Kathy’s older sister, the actress passed away from a sudden heart attack that was described as “very calm, peaceful and without pain”.

Kathy’s mum will inherit all the late actress’ assets said to be worth HK$400mil (S$67.4mil)

It was also revealed that a private memorial service had already been held and that Kathy’s mother would bring the actress’s ashes back to Hong Kong.

“We are now looking for a suitable cemetery but will not disclose [its location] nor comment on its related matter in the future,” said Kathy’s sister.
