I’m using ip 15 pro max. My phone generally take better photos than older iPhone.

I also bring full frame dslr. When compare to dslr, dslr is super clear and nice.

stopped using dslr since pre-covid times...
technology really moves fast... not quite keeping up to it

really must try out some new technologies now! everything getting more lightweight n compact!!

I brought both but the dslr attach a prime lens of either 50mm or 35mm. If weight is still an issue , can consider OM system . They are much more compact but in 4/3 size (if you are very anal abt full frame)

i also never went fully into dslr, just only the basic entry level type!

Nowadays camera hp not bad. But sometimes the AI HDR too aggressive. And dynamic range sucks. Overblown highlights really cmi.

oh yes.. that is one thing... like can use the app to immediately enhance many things.
like the face skin texture and face shape also can preset to "beautify/smoothen" and "more pointy chin" ...

sometimes come back from holiday see the photos pictures, feel like i also cannot recognise who is my own wife... like totally different person on the hp pictures!

addition camera like no added value... but still thinking.. like in case hp battery cannot last so long etc kind of problems....

i was thinking about these questions too before my recent Europe trip. I used my Fuji for street snaps. But due to last minute issue, I left the fuji at home and went with my iPhone 15 only. Overall the shooting experience is not as good as a camera. but with some adaptation and reassigning of my muscle memory, I can still carry on with what I normally do with my fuji. I bought a BT shutter trigger and a mini tripod with me, the combo worked for me. Besides all my photos are in social media, so long as you don't pixel peep, the phone can do the job.
