Just using the SingTel Shop Kiosk to have a free replacement for 5G SIM Card (I was using the 4G SIM card before).

This is supposed to give me access to 5G SA.

Testing results at home (Jurong West Area, near to Jurong Point):
5G SA is always worse than 5G NSA in OOkla SpeedTest, especially upload speed.

Test device: Xiaomi Poco X4 GT 5G phone, MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset.

Testing method: toggle 5G SA option on the phone.

The reason is probably due to less coverage of Singtel 5G SA network compared to 5G NSA network.

Yup, Simba's 5G if you can bear with the slower speeds.

I'd just go with the $10 plans from Singtel MVNOs. From personal experience, it's the best balance between price/performance in terms of coverage.

Agree. I just recently took up zero1 last week ($10 for 100GB). I think in terms of ease of collection of SIM card (can choose to collect at any Singpost etc) and app UI (some dun even have apps!), coverage & connection speed, this is best so far the most balanced to me in my recent memory (I have had Simba, ZYM, Giga, Cirles.life, CMLink and Vivifi)

What's the diff between that and the zym one? I'm using zym, but I took 5g last time. Now wan revert back to 4g coz I feel like no need 5g. Not sure how to downgrade the zym plan, so thinking just switch.

almost same in my opinion in terms of coverage and connection. So just switch bah. 5G is a scam. My Simba is 5G but only 38 Mbps on Ookla Speedtest (CBD area now)

I feel that people who have only used 5G on Simba shouldn’t be allowed to talk bad about 5G.

i have 5G on zym too. I still get lags watching ig. Hope you didn't think i can only afford Simba 5g

I using 5g on zym now, don't feel the lag la. But doesn't feel much faster than when I using circles life 4g also. But the coverage is much better.

Problem is, somehow my Xiaomi CCTV app cannot connect when I use zym 5g, but can when use circles life 4g. Not sure whats the issue.

But now is since cannot feel the faster speed, only the coverage good, might as well save some money and got for 4g under same provider as zym.
