Currently there 2 ezink card: The old ezlink card and the new ezlink card called simplygo ezlink card


simplygo ezlink card can use as it is mean it will display fare unless you change to simplygo function (the one with app etc...) aka account based simplygo ezlink card

aka
simplygo ezlink card that display fare
or
simplygo ezlink card that is account based so you can use the app etc....

if your is old ezlink card it will show this when you top up

update: i called ezlink
they say my card got the simplygo logo mean it not simplygo until i convert


update 2: in short
There are three cards

Simplygo cards - they have the simplygo logo and are simplygo enabled

EZ-Link cards (1) - they are EZ-Link cards that are simplygo capable but are not simplygo enabled so they need to be upgraded

Ez-link cards (2) - all other EZ-Link cards


my card is the middle one aka EZ-Link cards (1) which explain why mine is SG card but not SG enable and so it is just a normal ezlink card until upgrade

huh really? then why they dont let people switch from old card to new simplygo card for free
but if don't link to app still can see travel history on the mahine meh

u mean just upgrade our current card [w/o the SG logo] to SG & that's it
then after it can be used as per normal [as how we are using now/display of fares on screen etc]

For those who are using workfare concession card, can they continue using without having to opt for simply go?

this one i no idea, i change last yr when my old ezlink card is damage

if you want to see the history on the app, top up on using the app, etc.... then you need to convert your simplygo ezlink to simplygo account based ezlink

else it still be the same for me, use their machine to top and see history

What is account based?

Just too confusing, too many terms, EZ-Link, EZ-Reload, EZ-Charms, EZ-Link Wearables, EZ-Link NFC SIM cards etc.

Next time SimplyGo may have more additional funny terms like SimplyGo Wireless, SimplyGo Cloud, SimplyGo NFC, SimplyGo Motor etc.
