This month’s issue of the SSB’s first year interest rate already beat this Stash interest rate.

I guess this account is for super cash-rich people who have already maxed out their SSBs and all other bank accounts that yield higher than this.

For new savers who are building up their cash reserves, there are better products to do this. SSBs, CIMB FastSaver, one of the hurdle accounts such as BOC Smartsaver or UOB One if you can meet the requirements, Citibank Maxigain etc. If you adopt a waterfall model for your savings, this Stash account is going to be pretty far down that waterfall.

UOB have been a little sneaky in the way they portray the advertised interest rate. You need to read the fine print to know that the EIR is not great because it is a tiered interest rate model, like with their UOB One account.

Another disappointing product from UOB.

Given that UOB is running a promotion where one can get additional $880 on top of the stash interest for a $100k deposit that has to be earmarked till 30 Sep 19, is it worthwhile to keep the money in Stash instead of shifting it between OCBC 360 and SCB esaver? The expected interest should be around 2.5% per annum to keep the money till 30 Sep 19.

Other than the tedious monthly effort, SCB also has clause that defines what is fresh funds now:

* “Fresh funds” means funds that do not originate from any existing account with the Bank or funds that are not withdrawn and re-deposited within 30 days of the Promotion Period.

Uob stash up their interests up to 5% is worth to open an account?

https://www.uob.com.sg/personal/save/savings-accounts/stash-account.page
Not worth it. Only 3% EIR even when maxed out, and capped at $100k (and need to increase ADB monthly).
Better off just doing SCB eSaver.

Maximum Effective Interest Rate (EIR) on the Stash Account is 3% p.a. for deposits of S$100,000, provided the customer’s Monthly Average Balance (MAB) for the present calendar month is equal to or more than the MAB for the preceding calendar month.

Does withdrawing the interests monthly or yearly affect the MAB?
What's the best way out to ensure that it is paid out for 12 months?

I own and fund Stash because of the promo to get 4.5%. Every mth, just withdraw all interest and just add $1, this $1added will make sure ADB current mth is higher than previous - u can easily check, I always use internet banking.

My promo ending, so I will keep zero thereafter.

If they pay you the interest and you forget to take out on the same day your ADB will increase. Then gg whole month interest gone.
think u mean next month interest gone if did not cater for increase in month average balance?
