If you get on at Bus Stop 1 and alight 2nd stop and interchange is at third bus stop it probably is ZERO EXTRA charge cos penultimate stop to final stop usually pretty close distance away

Charged maximum trip fare after the system did not get your tap out after xx amount of time. It is because of this xx buffer time given to passengers that, the system is not giving you an instant fare result, because transfer takes time. And the system will not know whether you are still in a transfer or you forgot to tap out, until probably an hour or more later.

If you take a bus not MRT you go to MRT station and bus terminal & use their machine it'll reflect the trip and amount paid immediately
