Many such people in Macau too. Offer to exchange money or chips. They are very persistent and pesky. Just walk to near a casino staff or guard, request assistance from them if needed and they will help.

this is legit in canadian casinos. you can get loans inside or be a loanshark inside the casino. there's nothing the police can do

for singapore, this has been going on for a long time. those caught in the news are a result of mbs surveillance providing the suspect's photo fit to the police. the undercover police then approached the suspects and arrested them when the transaction happened

I think har,

player A and player B are foreigners, A lost money, B offers to loan him money but the former has to transfer money to him via 支付宝first ,plus some Kopi lui for B to earn some interest

Like $1k outside can be exchanged for 5300yuan ,but B charge him 5500yuan to earn 200yuan

For the sake of convenience, time saving and not to miss the ongoing shoe

Above is my own guess ,anyone shares the same thought?

Money laundering obviously. Can encash chips and declare as winnings from casino for clean money, casinos don't track player winnings by identity. Same as buying toto/4d winning tickets, they usually pay a premium so the actual winners will be enticed to sell them.

Casinos do track all players who have their cards registered. No card, no chips exchange in some cases.

MBS staffs strictly enforce card ID, esp during peak periods.
