I haven't tried yet. I hope it's a not a 'took 10 years to build a game that looks like a 10 years old game.'

The problem is they use singlish accent but without the singlish grammar. This is why people feel it out of place.

I mean with 200 million taxpayer money they could have actually hired a taxpayer to write the script...

Imagine in singlish:

"Why are you like that"

vs

"Why you like that one"

Which one feels more natural

The problem is this game is all the different ang mohs flexing their power. Once ang moh change to another, then tat ang moh want to do things his own way, everything samura and change.

Then along came many different ang moh, they see they have machiam unlimited budget from SG govt, they also want to samura and change everything to match their own vision.

Hence this SPG lovechild junk is born.

The game really looks damn boring. More than 10 years of development for this garbage? Still dare to charge S$80. This game looks best as a free to play type. Graphics look like crap also for a 2024 title. Xia suay to put Ubisoft SG in the credits.

Even gamers are aware that Ubisoft had wanted to abandon the game but due to a deal agreement with Singapore govt, they had to release the game no matter how bad it is....

I don't know why our govt cannot be more flexible... If this is going to prove to be an epic failure, why can't they just broker another deal ? All the money that poured into the game can be carried forward to another game..

It's sad to see a Singapore gaming studio failed and in such epic proportion...

They are trying to recreate the success of AC black flag but somehow managed to utterly fail to understand what made it so popular.

Even worse still, they jacked up the price to 70 usd (the ceo claimed that it is a "AAAA" game) and essentially made it an MMO while littering the game with a vomit-inducing mix of cash shop, premium currency, battle pass and season pass..

:(

So $200 million of our taxes invested like that...

Can get back how much? I don't think 5 million is even possible. Roughly $195 million of sinkies tax payer monies gone. Not to even say this game would contribute to any goodwill and positive reputation of Singaporean game development industry since it's such a big flop with very long delays.

Well done GIC once again!

Fwah, killers from Cameroon, murder businessman from Myanmar, in Thailand then flee to Singapore.

Really international...

But who in their right minds would flee to Singapore after commiting a crime... here so hard to hide...

Not in the games development industry. But some games suffer from even not launching. It seems to be a highly risky biz endeavour.

$200m put in property for the past ten years would have at least doubled year investment already. Now it's more likely to be down the proverbial drain
