End of day still the mindset of the boss. Boss who see results will usually be the ones to bo chup on the MCs/Leaves/Punctuality (unless its meetings) If your boss still harps on all these you can change company or boss. Really MCs all these does not matters if you are able to bring meat to the table.

Not all jobs are about bringing income to the table. If the mc is genuine, as a boss, i will support in anyway i can.

However, i have seen many, sad to say are just Chao keng. These type has no intention to put in effort in work. Taking mc as entitlement and need to use up otherwise lugi. These type i don't hesitate to rate them poorly if possible.

Results are important but if attitude is bad and can be bad influence, i won't keep too. Overall culture of the company is more important to me than sales.

Culture need time and requires everyones effort while sales can be settled by one single pax.

What you are mentioning is about company culture. what i am referring to is work results/KPI. This is subjective. Depends on the company and their management. end of the day its still a transaction.

I avoid public holiday long weekend and Christmas cause airfare and hotel more expensive. But I go during off-peak also kajiao by teamlead
I don't usually take leave after public holiday...cos if rest too many days, next day come to work, the momentum lost...

Agreed.
Some purposely take mc or leave or off in lieu on that particular day ( due to work overnight till morning).
My current section mate do that n is very obvious.
Even my lead also ,siam a particular job n always me n the other poor guy do the overnight job.

Some people take mc max, late for work, sleep on job... but she still get A.
Why? cause she know how to bootlick and act in front of boss.

is see your boss 1.... how he/she grade u.... is up2him/her......
u can bring simi mom , also useless.....

if ur boss don't like chiu, just keep low profile and look for new job. tmr fri don't mc etc. ;)

why don't chiu change job sia. :unsure:

There are some coy really take mcs into the appraisal too. That will seriously impact the overall rating.
Eg a person gets 75% which is excellent rate. But then mc to the max, deducted some % off, becomes 70%, it fall into good rats.

MC cannot be the only measuring criteria for performance.
if it is, then it's either time for you to bring this up to HR or look for another job.

however, even with that said, if you are gunning for a promotion and it's between 2 likely candidates, with all else equal, then MC can be the taken into consideration.

Is this acceptable if your manager rate your performance rating base on the number of mc you take per year?
Calculating your performance base on your mc you take within the year.
Your opinion please.
Acceptable
Those always take mc should take lesser bonus

when i was still an employee, i was those workaholic type. never claim medical, annual or compassionate leave. and always stay back work until very late, everyday
Did you get more bonuses and pay increment than your colleagues?

With my age now, I don't slog for coy anymore.
Just do my job well n efficiently will do.
The rest don't meddle if not my job.
Now, I am more into my health n family time and home time.

Even worse if u have boomer boss with boomer mentality, will shoot down all forward looking ideas but keep saying the team no ideas.

I was in such situation in my previous coy.
Everything you suggest, all gana shot down.
Worst reason I got is this reason " audit issues".

Best is to learn to be independent.
Never rely on someone.
Never hv the feel that if so n so not in, cannot work.

That is why companies prefer to hire 20+ yo naive youngster cause they will chiong but now gen z also want work life balance
