Anyone has been to Taiwan in first half of June before and experienced the weather? I know it’s hot but is early part of June still ok and bearable?

Same as Jiufen /Shifen.
So if you talk about retailers, they are only taking some time to rest during this period.

This year is near 4th and 5th day.

Flying 3 times within 2nd quart.
Likely spring to summer interchange season.
MAY Rain is expected.

I see. Don’t like rain so looks like Dec may still be a better choice. Cooler weather and no rain. At least for my stay last Dec, I didn’t encounter any rain

Dec is best time for us to visit taiwan. Not hot, cool to cold weather. Vwry low chance of rain.

but I got problem w air tickets, this is my input:

1) 23rd Nov 2024 sg to kaohsiung
2) 1st Dec 2024 taipei to sg

Scoot
1) 23rd Nov 2024 sg to kaohsiung (no flights available)
2) 1st Dec 2024 taipei to sg (flights w various timing available)

China airlines
1) 23rd Nov 2024 sg to kaohsiung (only 1 flight evening time)
2) 1st Dec 2024 taipei to sg (early morning 8+ or night 8pm roll over to nxt day +1 day means pay extra?)

SQ airlines
1) 23rd Nov 2024 sg to kaohsiung (no flights available)
2) 1st Dec 2024 taipei to sg (afternoon 2+ & evening 5+ flight)

Cathay Pacific
1) 23rd Nov 2024 sg to kaohsiung (1am+ w stopover in hong kong, total close to 9 hrs to reach)
2) 1st Dec 2024 taipei to sg (morning 10+ flight w stopover in hong kong, total close to 8 hrs to reach)

is the above 4 only airlines available? for both scoot & sq, how many times they fly direct to kaohsiung? cause it seems like whole nov no flight schedule to there. pls help, thanks.

Scoot stopped flying to ks since covid19. So what i do is fly to taipei then take hsr down to ks.

if u know how to ride the electric bike den u can rent n go ard the island
if not the walking will make u regret
just maybe no need to stayover night at there

CI is china airlines? if yes, timing is really off. i also googled & seems like no direct flight from taoyuan to kaohsiung? why internal flight still got stopover other cities one? i see like uni air stop over penghu airport 2 hrs+ for example. guess no choice take HSR cheaper & direct & maybe faster also. literally cheaper better faster.. hmmm

if timing is bad, means you should go the other way.

start from Taipei, and end with Kaohsiung

Really need to look at their official schedule when they closed before and after cny.
No hard and fast rule.
This year, they are off starting on Thursday and typically one week or max like 9 days totally off.
I went to Taoyuan and Keelung during CNY.
Even the miaokou nm is not fully open on day 2.
So it is really up to you if you want to travel, hotels price might not be the cheapest, but flight cost almost as good as other day.
