Is true if u can afford the living costs in sg. I also find it a hassle to go there just to buy daily essentials or eat.

I won't buy eggs or whatever from the supermarket just because it is more affordable. It's a hassle to carry back.

That's why i dun go often. I treat it as a holiday break and go in as a tourist. To feel a different vibe from Singapore.

Today treasure find at Bukit indah morning market
Rm10 for 4 to 5 pieces of big guava
Rm1 for 1 red bell pepper
Rm7 per kg of lettuce (eaten at Korean bbq as wrap)
Rm6 per kg for cauliflower cabbage n long cabbage..
Rm6:5 for 3 packs green veggie
Rm5 a pack for thin asparagus
Rm10 for 10 small oranges
Rm10 for 6 apples
Rm10 for 10 lemons
Rm5 for a good green Australia avocado
Rm12 for 3 white dragon fruits ($2 to $2.50 a piece)
Etc etc

Got any good pan mee stalls there? Tried the stall at the penang queensbay mall food court and it is really sedap. Still thinking of it. Haha.

I thought I saw somewhere about maximum stay of 180 days a year for those without formal working or MM2H visas etc.

How do these Singaporeans without such formal immigration passes "stay in JB/Malaysia"? If it is a case of returning to Singapore every so often, that would necessitate a semi-permanent residence in Singapore still, right?

We do purposely drive in to buy weekly.
We also purposely bring our weekly laundry to wash at the commercial laundromat which saves us tons of S$…

A 28 kg load of washer Rm12
A 14 kg load washer Rm6
A 10 kg washer Rm5

A big dryer for 25 minutes drying time Rm5 and u can add RM0.50 for additional time as desired.

In sg laundromat:
A 28 kg washer S$12

*correction:
In jb, a 28 load washer is Rm10 not Rm12.

I would normally select hot wash n top up Rm4 for 28 kg washer and Rm2 for 14 kg washer . Then I will do normal cold wash at Rm10 to have the washer run another round for extra rinsing without adding detergent.

You don't have to purposely go over just to pick up one thing. With careful planning, can achieve many tasks on the same day or few hours. Like you said, go for a break. Then think about picking up stuff along the way.

From JB Sentral grab to KSL around 5 min. To mid valley around 15 min. To aeon tebrau around 30 min. Then to paradigm mall roughly how long?

Last time I did on a weekday, about 20 to 30 mins.

Anyone tried the the foodcourt at mid vallley (eg The Eatery). Is it exp like our ion orchard ?

Mid valley basement food level is always so crowded hence I dont really like.

If prices like Ion, I'd just pop into one of the outlets in the basement. Can't remember the prices but I do dine at the foodcourt upstairs. PreC19 used to have nasi lemak but these days seems to be closed whenever I was there. Mostly have zichar as I like KL Hokkien mee, but the portion can be quite big (maybe because they love me) so I'd go for others like the soup noodle stall... I think somewhere next to the chicken rice in the back. Ya, I also eat chicken rice in Malaysia. Yup.

Tap on the QR code in your app if there's a scanner at the counter but no QR code. They'll either use their handheld scanner, or you face your QR code to their scanner on the counter, like in Verbana Sutera Mall.

If in doubt, I'd ask, "I scan yours or you scan mine?" When I couldn't see a scanner nor QR code. Then we'd both laugh. Of course, that's after asking if they accept TnG payment.

Whats your queue time and waiting time for the bus to move off? JB buses always like wait for bus to be fully loaded before moving off

I waited for abt 20mins, the bus was stationary for abt 10mins. The bus was 3/4 full.

I think the statement is incorrect. The bus move off at stipulated timing, not waiting for bus to be full.

You have to check bus schedule if you don't want to wait, and just arrive 5min before stipulated move off time

I used to pop over just for dinner at Komtar. No fuss, just cleared immigration, walked over, makan-ed, picked up a few things, and off back south.

That's before the newbies and forgetfulness-es decided they needed to go over to buy eggs.

Everyone have their reasons to spend in malaysia. I worked hard to earn my money. I wont tire myself while spending my hard earned money.

If i go malaysia, it is as a tourist. I may pick up something coming back as does any tourist, but i wont purposely go there to stock up.

I still want to contribute to sg's gdp for my children's sake.

move from from bus station is every 30 minutes, top and bottom of the hour.

two exceptions are F100 and the new T14

and their TP are catching those phantom bus stops. 2 of the ghost bus stops that i board and alight at the bus driver no longer stop. i asked and the driver say cannot stop here, polis catch

They are trying their luck. Their luck can run out one day.

The mm2h take up rate is also very low among Singaporeans. Cannot be sinkies are not applying, most likely Malaysian govt are playing punk.

Can apply for mm2h don't mean that sure you can get it 100pct approved.

No other proper way. Most countries outside are hard to get PR. Singapore is an exception.

I suggest that you compare with Thailand and Taiwan first.

i think CNA also cover before, so it's an open secret...

my and sg, all just wayang wayang only, all former colonies, so we know better to stick together and just poke each other.

there is actually significant improvements in their process for doing business in JB, ease of obtaining a bank account being one. also it's much easier and smoother process to get a business license.

not to mention that #therotisatthetop because I can still buy authentic fake driver license in JB, hologram sticker and all, just cannot buy the record inside Singpass.

here in jb, still can enjoy paying for time; ie, i went to do my paperwork for buying car, i didn't have to wait a whole day in there, i can pay to skip the queue? should that be allowed? is that corruption? it's a building full of people doing the same thing, and they have to wait there for the number to be called...

or is that like disney, i can buy the fast track pass on top of my admission ticket? Heck, i can even pay even more for a disney employee to just bring me to the front of the line.

they have gone from being about 30 years behind singapore, to about 10... so it's an improvement.
