In jb, I last checked is Rm3.8k which is slightly more than S$1.1k for a 24k btu double inverter air con without installation…

About 10 years ago, I bot Hisense directly at Rm1.2k for 18k btu and a few 24k btu to install in jb house.

It is still working strong and the flow of cool air is powerful de..

I installed 2 units of 24k btu and 1 unit 12k Btu in the entire ground floor with walls hacked and open kitchen. I only need to turn on one air con at the area I am at and it can cool very well.

I love Hisense but it doesn’t have inverter air con..,

Yup, convenience stores like 99, myNews, 7-Eleven, FamilyMart sell SIM packs at cost, like the telcos' main outlets. Other than these, dealer/distributor shops normally sell with a package of sorts.

For example, for Digi, whenever you come across a shop, you'll notice signs like Digi Store and Digi Store Express. The latter is their distributor, not main shop. Like for change of Prepaid SIM cards and application for Prepaid eSIM, need to go to Digi Store outlets only.

I had a horrific experience with the gangster reno contractors once about 10 years ago.

I didn’t know he is gangster. He jacked up the agreed price and I refused to pay the extra cost.

He then got his subcon to threaten to make police report and to dismantle the sliding doors installed claiming non receipt of payment. I told him I already made 100% of the payment to main con and there was additional cost under dispute.

At the end, an air con contractor recommended a group of gangster to help us close the matter at a cost of Rm10k.

Quite dramatic at the meeting. I was told to sit in front of a store room and to enter store room upon signal. Later hubby told me he saw one of the group had parang hidden his shirt. I didn’t know. I innocently thot we were truly having negotiations. what a narrow escape cos main con n sub con was very friendly and agreeable upon seeing our representative on arrival. Everything turned out ok.

It is really black eat black..

My jb neighbour kenna scammed Rm150k as 50% of deposits but no
Work was carried out. A few bundle of wires and some hacking that was done. Contractor non contactable since.

It seems these reno con men are operating likewise in sg…

We didn’t dare to hire contractors since… unless is recommended by friends or neighbours who had engaged them.

So far our experiences with SenQ has been positive .

Avoid Emart as far as possible.

One of their salesmen is linked to gangster.

We bot a roof top tv antenna. He gave me a contact to engage for installation service. The contractor said he would quote the price after assessment on site.
On the day, he brought a truck load of men, about 5 to 6 that climbed up to our roof. He then recommended to install 2 tv antenna and quoted Rm5k.

We didn’t dare to say No as the group was on our roof and we believed they would spoil our roof if we rejected their quote.

Since then, no more tv antenna for us eventhough both are spoilt now.

So in jb, beware there are many gangsters operating businesses.

So far I find only one place the cake is of good quality… the one at sutera mall n will sell out pretty fast cos clients would queue n snapped up breads n cakes speedily…

What to do cos we r in foreign land, best get frens or neighbours to recommend contractors that r decent type, gangsterism is very common in my society as a whole, not only jb, n obviously we r easy prey for them, esp those stay landed cos usually condo will have less need for reno or construction work cos most came furnished unless u doing a revamp on an old unit.

Wah .. papaya in sg $3 per kg..JB not cheap..

Last Sunday, I picked up 3 bundles of the thin kind of asparagus at Rm5 per bundle (super good deal) 1 bundle of Qin long veggie n a pack of small oyster mushroom costing Rm21 with many other veggie totally Rm69 in all.
The cashier left out the bag of asparagus.
This morning approached them and they acknowledged that mistake and refunded my Rm21. Jb does have honest businessmen.

i started qing for bus 950 at 9.35pm on thurs...
waited super long for bus... then only reached jb around 1am on friday
today i dont know why egate did not work for me today.
i tried 3 times... at diff counters... all failed.
now i am back i rechecked online
it said i am eligible for egate....
anyone else got same problem?

6) please don't try the tendon at kinsahi at paradigm mall JB, it cost $28 RM and the ingredients is two piece of prawn and few vege, it isn't well fried as well. For $16 RM I can go to zanmai to get a tendon and they have all types of ingredients, Saba, eggplant, fried potato, half boiled eggs, fried chicken and prawn. Free refill of hot green tea as well.

I just took the private bus out of JB custom, it cost 5rm. I wouldn't have taken it if not due to the queue that stretch all the way to the escalator for bus 950 and 160
