I see a lot of prata eaters take one plate of curry but will leave half behind. I definitely need refills and sometimes it's barely enough.

most are probably from the same supplier nowadays, soft soft huan, hardly can find those old school crispy crispy outer layer types.

ehh ..
the more they dipped it in, the lesser the curry will get, no?

unless the person barely dips into it :s22:

those sugar dippers wont dip the whole piece, just the tip.

nowadays, all order factory made dough balls. many just use al-ansar dough.
made franchising prata shops way easier.
no more variety in some shop.

if i want cripy prata, i just buy frozen instant prata at ntuc and use my skillet at home.
straight onto the pan from frozen.
if you let it thaw abit, you can make the non crispy.
downside its not thick and no egg.

instant chappati also better than buying those tortilla wraps

Thanks... Didn't noe.
I've been trying to cook my own without success
there's an instant ready made paste for all sorts of curries out there
how could u not see? :s11:

just cook & boil
add other ingredients on your own
e.g. potatoes/veges etc

by trying to cook on your own, u meant to say u tried cooking curry from scratch?
down to the curry leaves?

& yes, curry in can form has been available for the longest time in supermarkets :spin:

If prata are the soft type I will request for the curry to mixed into it, It is also call mandi in Malay. If it the crispy type, curry has to be separately packed. Anyway, if is the crispy type, I eat it in the coffee shop. My favorite prata haunt is at Chindamani Indian Restaurant located in coffee shop with their sinfully crispy pratas.
I immediately tried chinda at bishan. Thanks for sharing. Was really crispy.

it doesn't work that way :s22:
at least refer to online recipes from YT for guidance
