Any possibility that the SAAB Accelerator Gets Stuck down onto the floor. The SAAB driver hit the White Merz at the start to avoid the motorcycle?

From the White Merz cam, they don't look like they were racing.
Unlikely. Cos the brake lights of the Saab never came on until the point of impact. Any experienced driver would have pressed their foot brake pedal really hard in such a situation and the more experienced ones will quickly downshift their gears to slow their cars +/- use handbrake carefully

Everyone knows obviously the Saab driver is at fault. It is the Saab driver that caused this whole accident to happen.

I think what some are trying to imply is that the merc driver is not a siant either, by speeding up and trying to prevent the Saab from overtaking. Both are reckless drivers. That's all.
Too bad many badge defenders of merc scare they get implicated and labelled as black sheep

Yes, there is a small chance the tragedy would not happen if merc did not sped up.

You guys are nuts at putting any kind of fault at any other motorists. In the end it's the saab driver who's stepping on the accelerator pedal. Furthermore after he encountered the merc, there's still a stretch of road to the traffic light. He stepping down the accelerator pedal all the way through the junction is pure intentional and nothing to do with panicking.

yeah many here bash the merc driver because he or she is also another egoistic driver, then want to act like saint by uploading his or her cam video.

End up the cam video showed very clearly the merc driver played with the saab driver by not letting him overtake.

TP should consider using technology to help on enforcement.

They can provide platform that allow public users to upload video of traffic offenses and reckless driving as dashcams are widely installed on most cars in Sg.

They can even offload the decision making to the crowd. let the public view and upvote offenses. they just need to review and act on the top 500 offenses daily for example.

With this solution, eyes will be available everywhere on the road. Blatant reckless driving would have been detected/upvoted earlier even when there’s no accident. After quick enforcement, they will think twice before repeating same offense.

this is another possible scenario:

black saab speeding, wanted to overtake white merc
merc sped up and use fact that motorcycle is on right lane to trap saab and prevent overtaking
saab floor accelerator, side swiped merc and sped away

then your part:

then he kalangkapo continue speed more to dash across the junction

There's a thing called brake, also handbrake & hazard lights.

Eyes already everywhere but it’s far from making you safe. Rather making you part with your money more
