1) The Mercedes driver observed the black Saab attempting to overtake from the right.
2) Sensing the motorist on the right, the Mercedes accelerated to block the black Saab from overtaking through the narrow gap.
3) Consequently, the white Mercedes maintained speed with the black car, attempting to prevent overtaking and possibly anticipating caution from the Saab to avoid endangering the motorbike. However, this maneuver carried significant risk, aiming to pressure the Saab into yielding.
4) The black Saab rejected the challenge, accelerating aggressively and swerving, ultimately colliding with the white Mercedes, and fiercely accelerated towards the junction after that.
5) This abrupt acceleration, sharp turn, and resulting collision led to the loss of control by the black Saab, culminating in a collision at the junction.
6) The situation continues to unfold.
7) Reflecting on the incident, it's regrettable that the Mercedes driver chose to engage in a tactic that escalated tensions and endangered others on the road. The tragic aftermath underscores the importance of safe driving practices. RIP to those who lost their lives.

If he didnt speed up and allowed the other car through (like most defensive drivers would), what are the chances of the black car beating the red light going at speed >100km/h without stepping on the brakes?

that logic is like if I drink n drive, if I drive myself home, no road block, I never get caught

but I choose to make a detour to send my friend home and on that detour I kana road block

so is my friend fault or my own fault that I drink and drive??

siao lang!

thanks! finally a HD video. the t-bone impact on the first car is hiong. unlikely for any left-side pax in that vehicle to survive. speed looks in excess of 120 kph. some video experts are already working on this.

no logic.

if the merc successfully block off the saab from overtaking, will there be so many fatalities?

Doesn't matter, your ability to stop when there's a need reflect your driving skills and judgement. Not your ego and ability to floor down on the accelerator.
No doubt Merc driver is no angel, the facts remain that Saab driver is the main cause and he was not able to stop at the junction after side-swiping. He can always choose not to overtake.

i have the feeling that the saab driver was intending to chiong the red light at full speed no matter what. the brush with the merc was just a side incident. he was already enraged before this. could it be he was so furious with a female partner in his car that he totally lost it? i hope it’s not the JC girl, but if it is her or someone else, i hope he’s charged with murder or attempted murder.
The jc girl and her dad was in the black Honda stream that got first hit and overturned beyond recognition. Her dad still in critical condition.

The other victim is apparently seated in the van pest control

Poor logic. If drink, then dont drive. Whether one gets caught or not, driver should not drive under influence of alcohol cos if there's any accident, driver will be at fault.

This is completely wrong. The saab driver was already at 100+ km/h way before he approached this 2 merc. See the backview cam of the merc. The saab guy was probably under the influence.

This is completely bs sia. Especially point 5. Simi lose control? From that overtaking point till the traffic light is a long long long way. There's no sharp turn. The saab was driving like mad before he even approach this overtaking part.
