I am using a tp-link ER605. But its wired, not wireless. When i need wireless, then i on the EX510. Its at least usable for short periods of time, although not ideal.

Too bad. i just got a EX510... didn't see this thread earlier. I hope they'll provide a new firmware version.

What's the wifi router you're using now?

If you cannot get TP-Link EX510 to work for your use cases, you may want to get a TP-Link Archer AX72 from Carousell (BNIB at around S$80, dumped by M1 users), it should be much better than ISP locked custom router like TP-Link EX510.

But they should provide a firmware update by now. That issue is reported so long ago.

Any other users here facing the same issue with ex510?

TP-Link is bad/slow when it come to firmware support :<

And it is even worse with ISP customized models. It is better to avoid TP-Link router models geared towards ISPs.

Unfortunately, SingTel and Starhub again use TP-Link HB810 and EB810v for the 10Gbps plan, probably due to cost reasons.

MR is using TP-Link Archer BE805 which is not clear whether this is a custom version or not as TP-Link Singapore website info does not match TP-Link US website. The feedback seems to say it is not really a service provider version as mentioned by TP-Link SG website, or at least only with minor customization..

maybe you can post some screenshot the UI? this was basically one of my concern with the TPLink from MR. From the get-go i already knew that it was on customised ISP firmware based from the TP-Link router from almost 2 years ago. The giveaway was the log in page, plus the fimrware details and no information was found on TP-Link's website for that specific model. Then for the Tether app, I couldn't link my account and it can only be accessed locally and not remotely.

May I seek advice from everyone? I recently applied for MyRepublic Broadband, but I've noticed many users complaining about its unstable network and lack of service. They're scheduled to come for installation on the 30th, and I have 5 days left to decide. Should I proceed with the installation or cancel it?

I have a question regarding my setup. I currently have the Republic-provided BE805 in my living room, and the port in my room is connected to a TP-Link network switch is 1000M(TL-sg105) from another room. I've subscribed to a 10Gbps plan and I'm considering adding another EasyMesh device to pair with the BE805 in my room. Could you advise me on what type of switch would be suitable for this setup?"

Since you have 10G broadband just get a switch with 10G port(s) multi-Gig will do.

Also, make sure you are using CAT 6a/7 LAN cables for your 10G setup

Go Shopee/Lazada/SL SQ/SL Tower to buy

I am not even sure if you can do that man. I think you already committed liao, and if you try cancel will have to pay like a huge amount of money.

10Gig is not cheap. you're going to spend at least a few hundred dollars even for a small 8 port unmanaged switch.

An Aquantia 10GbE NIC is another ~$100.

Since I haven't started installing the MyRepublic broadband service yet, my first appointment is scheduled for April 30th. If I cancel the contract when they first arrive, the compensation should be at this price.
$49.05

If you don't need or not ready for 10G broadband just cancel it

Actually, I only need a 2.5G network. I've seen that Simba has it, but my family opposes and doesn't approve of applying because they're concerned about the service's stability not being ready yet.

You can try SIMBA 2.5Gbps (S$21.80 per month) + WC 2.5Gbps (aggregated 2.5Gbps, S$21.80 per month), dual ISP redudancy.

If must choose a 2.5gbps, WC is preferable over Simba as WC is sitting on ST, vs Simba that is still new and have limited peering.

its amusing to see ppl getting tempted over Simba's 10gbps when they can't even optimise 2.5gbps yet. If you are going to limit yourself to $20+ plans, at least choose one using ST's network.

with the recent undersea cable cut i hear friends complaining m1 is slow
