I still think you should be honest with your boss. Not to throw your colleague under the bus but to highlight what actually happened. You can still say you are also responsible if you have oversight for your colleague but he definitely need to know she had a big part to play in the saga to so he can take the necessary precautions next time.

I agree. The boss should know exactly where's the hole in the ship. Else can or remedy or prevent in future.
Worst case, if it happens again and he found out that Duc ZZ knows beforehand but didn't warn him, the consequences will be drastic

My Co's PA salary not so high, but hrs are very family oriented. Really only need to work weekends occasionally.
Hear story from CxO pa. Work hours depends on where your boss is located at the moment.

She kena before CxO in north America then get phone call say book ticket to xxx and get hotel room near yyy immediately. Then mad rush to call up hotels to do last min bookings while the CxO is on the plane.
