Mari Credit Card Upgrade Incoming…

1) FAQ - https://www.maribank.sg/help-centre/8001-mari-credit

2) Mari Credit Card Fees - https://www.maribank.sg/fees-rates/mari-credit-card

FYI, it’s on the MasterCard Network. Existing Mari Credit Accounts will be “Upgraded”. It’s a Cashback card, that’s currently said to offer the “highest unlimited cashback rates* for eligible purchases outside of Shopee”

Shame that it has FX fees tho…. In order to compete, expected it to have No-FX as a feature.
Oh well, let’s hope they change their minds before full roll-out in July. Can only feedback… dunno if they’ll listen though…

Probably they are using a provider like nium to facilitate their cards.

But really looks disappointing, looks good only for shopeeholic and nothing else

My thoughts exactly.... :(

Hope they drastically improve before rollout...

1.7% still lose to DCS 2% and same month bill offset. Can use as secondary card.

Awarded Cashback in your Card Account will be automatically offset against the billed amount
in the upcoming Card Account Statement cycle.

I shop at Shopee a lot so it serve my needs besides outside Shopee spend. In contrast GXS I don't use Grab nor Dash. Taxi I use GoJek instead as cheaper.
UOB1 Card should still be the best for Shopee unless you've already max'd out the 2k spend then next best now would definitely be Mari CC as it has limited time promo of 5% shopeecoins-back without cap..

You said "I shop at Shopee a lot" ?
My purchase is 2-3 dollars or at most 10 each time. So yes a lot of purchases but total amount is not high. Another reason I pick Shopee over say Lazada and Qoo etc.

Spree 2% is next month give for this month. DCS is this month give better.
actually doesn't matter, the rebates will come in on time before bill is due. so i will re-pay the spent amount minus the rebates.

To me it matters. It is like HR say your bonus next month then go inside your bank account but count from this month onwards. Feeling not happy why cannot this month give? Admin paperwork need time? Don't buy their argument but keep quiet scared they revoke my bonus haha

You still don’t get it do you. I spend $100 this month, next month bill comes for $100, due date is on say 15th, rebate of $2 comes in on 5th, I pay $98 to clear it, end of story. No need spend again to use the $2 rebate. That’s how Spree card works. Unlike OCBC and UOB, die die force you to spend again to use the rebate you earned previously.

SCB actually also allow you to cash out the positive balance on your card. One of the better banks to bank with imo
