May I know what did you use to seal the hole? was it Silicon and it's nicely done.

And for the below photo, is it normal that the L joint not covered with insulator?

How is fujitsu airstage? Looking at the black one. 5 years warranty looks interesting.
Will just post this here since majority favor MEC / Daikin etc.

Fujitsu isn't well liked by installers and aircon service guys due to the complicated nature design of the FCU.
Servicing companies charge more due to this.

Winfinity (agent) had also some part to play in this as well. Alot stating the agent is difficult to deal with/unreasonable.

Been using Fujitsu for the better part of 10-15 years.

Have 2 outdoor units:
1 system 2
1 system 3

My first system 2 non inverter served me close to 20 years before the compressors gave out.

Currently on inverter system 2 as well, coming to 12 years:
- only fault now is an outdoor unit fan motor issue (noisy)
- a thermistor fault which comes and goes (fixed itself :p)

Otherwise still damn cold.

System 3 - just konked after 15-16 years due to a pipe leak due to age.

During its years:
- thermistor failure
- board failure
- EEV issue

Lasted till now.

So now contemplating going back to Fujitsu or give the mainstream brands a go

me use this cause i got the gun also, then use finger to smooth it out.

good thing about this is, it thick and stay it place, so can build layer by layer like how 3d printer print

Please find out your own.
I have no further details, anything can refer on specification

I am just trying to understand the basis of multiplying the power by 3048. If you don't feel like sharing you can choose to ignore instead of telling me to find out on my own when the number came from you.

This is a forum ffs.

Tried searching for copper tube connection but did not really find answer.

For air con install is it acceptable to do copper tube joint brazing indoor area?
Also need to ask the person who do brazing for his cert or not

A lot of aircon installer don't pride in their work and take shortcut.

If possible change fcu location or you can alway drill new hole for shorter path

Hi, sharing a link. I cannot claim true or not true.

RT to kW

https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/power/ton-to-kw.html

kW to BTU

https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/power/kW_to_BTU.html

1 RT = 3.516kW

1kW = 3.412K BTU

in short, 1 RT = 12K BTU

RT kW BTU are different ways to see cooling capacity in different region. Just like miles vs kilometres

hey folks!

secured my EM and will be doing Reno in a few months.

looking to do a dual compressor systems 3 + 3 Aircon for it

also looking to place the compressor outside as the balcony will be glassed up and combined with the living room. I think there's 3-4 neighbors in my block who have done the same.

any recommendations on a good installer? thanks in advance!

Edit: I’ve reached out to letscool and newway. waiting for their response.

lol. Why not refer the Mitsubishi electric specification table chart?
on 1 FCU at minimum 620w, if on 2/3 FCU at 1200w something.

depend your fan coil unit position at where.
For example plate on toilet door or bedroom above door , get 12k , if direct blowing on bed. 10k good than enough. Energy saving some more
