If all offer the same pricing, it defeat the purpose of having new players in the electricity market

Consumer might just stay put with SP

Although the price is only a slighly lower than SP now. I have no complaints when those electricity retailers rolled out in end 2018. Enjoying the good rate of 16.xx cents until 2023 June. From Geneco , tuas power and keppel. Those who sticked to SP are paying much more than me for the past 5 year.

Electricity vendor they get 1st tier pricing, they can sell cheaper and still earn but they choose not to spoilt the market
