Discovering a lower price elsewhere can be frustrating, but enjoy your new phone when you receive it and forget the price differencesI bought the Aquos Sense8 this Tuesday from the official cocorolife.sg site.
Then noticed that RWM sells it for $50 less.
It shipped on Wed but I have yet to receive it.
Do note that the green variant is out of stock till end of June.
I tried holding the Sense8 today. Feels better in the hands compared to my xperia 10v. But the sim tray seems a bit wonky, or maybe it's just me.I bought the Aquos Sense8 this Tuesday from the official cocorolife.sg site.

I thought the wonky sim tray was just the display set. Seems like it's the same for all. But generally the feel of the phone is good. Similar to Sony Xperia but better to hold, I guess is the proportion of the phone.Just received my Sense 8 today.
Apparently their marketing campaign recently is more successful than they anticipated, hence the delivery took longer than expected.
The phone feels like a bigger LG G6 or G7, but with a protruding camera compartment.
Build quality is good but yes, the sim tray is a bit wonky.
Took me a longer time than normal to install my sim card.
A case is definitely required if one wants to make it sit flush with the body.
Hi hi,So far the battery life seems good. 100% charged at 2pm, it's down to 94% now.
Which is not surprising given the middle range 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 & 5000 mah battery.
It is close to stock Android with a light Sharp UI.
Comes with 2 Sharp & the Fitbit app, everything else is stock Android app.
Vibration is way stronger than my Nord 2, which I can barely feel when I get a call with my phone in my pocket
Oh, and no camera shutter sound as this is the international version
Cons as far as I can tell now, it has thick bezels for a 2024 phone.
Camera aside (partial assumption, cos I haven't really play with it much), it should be a good alternative to the Samsung A55 or a Pixel 8a.
The UI is relatively light ... I guess it is similar to Sony in the sense that they do limited customization & mainly in cases where it makes sense.Hi hi,
Just to check how's your feel so far after using the phone for a few weeks?
Interface speed wise and photos taken still decent?
And does the USB-C output really supports video output? (as in if plug in a USB-C to HDML cable).
Thanks![]()

Battery life is good, phone barely heats up when not charging (but I don't game).
I can start the day at 90% (7am) and end the day at 30-36% (1130pm)
So far, the only app that lag is Google Files (& only for certain folders).
Another file manager which I installed works fine.
So it may be a bug.
Photos in the day are decent (colors are not neutral though, they boost the color saturation slightly).
I haven't tried night outdoor photography & video output.
Sharp Android security update policy is every quarter, which is decent but not fantastic
I guess all in all, it's a great phone at the current promotional price ($518).
It only has competition from Xperia 10 VI for phones with a 6.1 inch display.
Both have very similar size & hardware specs with the Sony costing a bit more.
But if you are coming from a phone with better specs, you can definitely feel the difference from the Sense 8 Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 & UFS 2.2 flash storage.
Especially after you transfer over your apps from your old phone.
Out of the phone, the Sense 8 is really snappy though.
U can get Vivo Iqoo Z9x at $200 on Lazada now... also sporting the same SD chip and UFS 2.2...Thanks for your very detailed review!
yeah I came from Xperia 5 III, which is giving me a green line now
and given the fact that phones are getting so exp now and the lifespan is so short, I am thinking of changing to mid range phones to save my wallet![]()
