Sharp recently started selling a few handsets again in sg but they are ridiculously priced seeing that they are cheap rebranded TCL entry-level phones...

Like the simple, clean design. But too bad SG market is saturated and pretty dead
. And third party after sales svc are pretty meh in SG. Market too small.

R9 is mid range running SD 7+ Gen 3 so no conflict with R8s Pro which is running SD 8 Gen 2
And R9 release Mid July in Japan, might take quite awhile before reaching to SG i feel.

Available at Courts for pre order too. Today's Straits Times advertisement page A9. Slightly more expensive at $518 and $1099 though than the Carousell one which is Gadget Affair.

The phone was launched with Android 13, but seems like the Android 14 update was released for it. There's also reviews from Taiwanese youtube channels.

If you buy from shopee, make sure to collect the $200 voucher from Sharp store, and the additional $100 off $1k voucher that's applicable for Shopee Mall products. Overall, the R8s pro would then costs $999 or lower.
