I used it everyday on food court, online shopping, retail shops, cafe, etc.
I was like you - my revo for everyday dining, groceries and online shopping.

What I do now is -
Everyday dining : citi rewards + amaze
Groceries (offline): citi rewards + amaze
Groceries (online): either citi rewards or dbs wwmc
Online shopping or travel: dbs wwmc

Can also use citi rewards + amaze or ocbc titanium rewards card for offline retail shopping. But limited to 1k/1.1k monthly cap for 4mpd.

If it's big ticket purchase e.g furniture, car down-payment, rolex etc then no choice but fall back to general miles card like citi premiermiles or dbs altitude for 1.2/1.3 mpd.

Bro, so basically Citi Rewards is like the clone of HSBC Revolution? So Dining (food courts, restaurants, cafes) + Online Shopping (Shopee, Lalamove, etc), Retail Shops in Malls can use Citi Rewards?

What @Rong626 said is correct. Once u pair citi rewards with amaze, every transaction except travel (blacklisted by citi) will be eligible for 4mpd. Need to use the amaze card to pay either contactless or insert into reader. That's how this can be a clone of hsbc revo moving forward.

Never ever use contactless for citi rewards alone unless u are at department store or fashion store else no 4mpd!

So when to start using the Citi reward + Amaze? Since Revolution gives 9X points next month for this month spent, so need to time properly to redeem all the points to offset the final bill before moving on to Citi rewards + Amaze.

u can stop using it, but there's no urgency to cancel it what.

When to start? ASAP. Bonus points from this month's spending will only be reflected in August statement*.
