few food bloggers said best roti canai in jb, so must go and try. it's actually really nice and no need to queue, but sorry, it's not mr and mrs mohgan standard one (both the roti and fish curry). kinda let down when ppl say best...
1 telur bawang (3.5 rm), 1 kosong (1.5rm), 1 teh tarik (2.5rm), total 7.5 rm

Restoran Selera Selatan 马来煎饼
34, Jalan Ros Merah 2/13, Taman Johor Jaya

8 rm charsiu roast pork rice, seems like local fave, every customer bought at least 1/2-1 duck/chicken and charsiu by slab.

Restoran Happy Roaster
16, Jalan Ros Merah 2/12, Taman Johor Jaya

got really nice japanese bakery opposite the nasi kandar, but only open 4 days a week.
I ended up lunching at a Malay makan joint across the road, nearer from across the hotel. It's recommended by someone I met that day, and they looked like they're also into wedding catering business. Don't have the name, though...

fried rice quite normal, wok hei or din tai fung one better. fried prawn is tasty, especially when paired with kampung koh garlic chilli (from perak).

edit: cant rmbr which brand of kampung koh, apparently got more than 5 brands for kampung koh chilli. dunno which one is nicest :)

Went to Say Yes (Sutera) for dim sum.

If you like MSG, then this place is definitely a place for you.

My rating: 5.5/10.

*reached at about 11 am (4 pax). Queued for about 20 min. After meal drank water for half a day.

Standard drop quite alot. Last time we went there often.
Few months back my friend drive us there, long Q, I said why don't we go eat wanton mee at TUTA.
Uncle Koh wanton mee good decision.

I read reviews and supposed to be OK but then...

Weather was hot and sun so glaring that I dared not go to non-aircon place to queue/eat. Even that Say Yes place is with aircon, but the door opened big big kind and so the place wasnt cool enough that after the meal, I was semi-soaking wet. 一边吃,一边流大汗 and so very unpleasant.

i implore those who want to really experience eating to learn, unlearn and relearn about MSG.

ps, read the bag of Lays (or any other snacks) ingredient list, see which numbered ingredient MSG is, or pick up a bottle of Lao Gan Ma chilli and read the ingredient label.

ingredient label by law, lists their ingredients in order, and that order is, from most to least.

coz outdoor was very hot and so settled at a massage place in the mall - Siam Oasis.

Price:

I bought the buy RM1000 get RM300 free package (coz 4 of us) and the effective cost of:

90 min aroma massage - about SGD50
60 min 4-in-1 foot/shoulder/back massage - about SGD23.

Comment:

1. places were atas, meaning clean and well decorated (seem to have branch in most major malls).

2. therapists - have to depend on luck coz mine seemed like a newbie but my friends got 'powerful' experienced ones.

3. have to pay RM50/pax if want to make reservation. Both the Sutera Mall branch and Paradigm Mall branch 'seemed' to be quite fully booked that we couldn't secure any 120 minutes session. Was told max 90 min coz no slots even with advance booking a day before. However, it gave me a vibe that they not so keen to accept 120 min booking coz that package is the 'least return' for them. 90-min too short for me but had to take it.

4. relaxing kind of massage to me (I still prefer TCM style that I am still combing for a 'good' one).
