As long as the shop did not receive the cashless transfer, the old man did not pay any money. There's no cashier to process his payment.
So he did not pay and he is stealing. He is wrong. Is this difficult to understand.
Its the same as me going to cai png hawker stall, tap my credit card at their cashier when there is no nfc reader. And heading off with my cai png. They did not receive my credit card payment and i am stealing...
But d store dun take cash paymentsTap card without equipment = nothing transferred
Put Money at cashless store = legal tender transferred
Employee have hand to take , pocket to keep..
Police will be v confused on what to do

I come back tomorrow to payIf u drink at a bar, the bartender resign and walk out
U leave the money there or stay till tomorrow ?
Yes. But there is no equipment nor personnel to recognise the currency...You know what is legal tender or not?
Vendors usually consider several factors when deciding payment terms, such as the value of transaction, cost of acceptance and convenience to customers. Under the Currency Act , if a vendor does not wish to accept any or certain denominations of coins or notes as payment, he/she can provide a written notice to inform potential customers. This serves to highlight the proposed terms of payment to the customers and help customers make a decision on whether to go ahead with the transaction.
Poor? That's an old man, most likely a poor one. Can't any of the staff there be a little kinder, take the cash and just credit card tap for him? I would do that.
Then is the store problem.Yes. But there is no equipment nor personnel to recognise the currency...
