Now the problem is the Singtel Red, I want to cancel but I concerned that I will not get priority although I am Prestege also.

I contacted Singtel twice on whatsapp - one each on Monday and Tuesday. Today I got the FAM vouchers in for my lines.

look like stinktel need to be chased ( if i am not wrong the backend finance billing is located at stinktel )

Looks like I’m in the same situation as you. But u started chasing SingTel earlier hence you manage to get the vouchers now. For me, just need to try to chase… if don have then can’t be help…

yeah u really need to chase on u part 2 to 3 days before and on the first day of month keep whatsapp them

if u want to compare apple to apple, i am currently on ZYM SmartRoam 5G with 200G data. U cannot use the $62 plan with 30G data to compare.

You want compare Apple to Apple but you are talking about the data now? How often is it for anyone to use beyond 30GB or even beyond 50GB per month? Your house no wifi?

and where got no Apple vs Apple. I took the $15 that you claimed for your phone bill as a baseline to calculate the difference per month for the bill before calculating the entire phone’s cost leh.

Usually people sign contract is can claim the bill. We get the hp cheaper and coy pay for the bill.

If company reimburse the phone bill without having to see the actual bill then people will tend to sign the cheaper plans to save the money for themselves.

if company have a hard fix cap $100 per month, need see bill to reimburse, confirm everyone in the company will sign the high tier plans

Phone bill $62 - 20% = $49.60

option 1 vs option 2
Phone bill difference $34.60
24 months difference = $830.40
Phone price + difference = $830.40 + $970 = $1800.40

So who cheaper?

Do some maths first before saying people carrot head la. If you talk about someone who walk into SingTel to sign a line and get a phone without using any voucher then he or she is kumgong. But u think people here all no vouchers meh?

Your calculation is inaccurate. Virtual telco can get Eight telecom for $8 a month. Singtel XS plan come with free Caller ID with CIS ? you also add in re-contract voucher of $200 means you are actually committed previously so not a straightforward comparison. The savings are narrow actually if you span it over 24 months

Having said all these above, i am actually on CIS and Singtel M plan and i belong to the category who re-contract every year without fail for iPhone in Sep and bite the $356 early re-contract penalty (used to be $300 or less) and i dont get any voucher as i only 12 months into the contract. I think i got 25% off M plan per month. Downside is my CIS does not have free caller ID and i pay $5 per month before GST and i also use Red voucher every year. My calculation is more complex as it is yearly and the penalty complicated the benefit. The only reason why it is still worthwhile for me is because i can claim part (about half) of my phone bill with my company. If i convert to Simba or 8, i bohua for the claims so my company is indirectly funding my phone abit.

Yeah the first scenario will get the cheaper plan and get the hp without contract. Overall will save abit. The second scenario will sign the plan that is almost the cap and recontract with telcom. I'm the latter lol.

Thats what happened a few years back. Everyone’s gloating about the singtel plans and how re-contracting twice per year gets to earn profits from Singtel. Now that loophole has been closed. Be smart guys and gals, dont need to win every argument while losing the battle in the end.
