Manchester United are eyeing a couple of promising midfield additions in advance of the January transfer window.

One potential target is Sunderland whizkid Chris Rigg, who United feel could be a generational midfield talent, HITC has reported.

Another player on United’s radar is Norwegian talent Sverre Nypan, 17, who will be eligible for a move in January after he turns 18 in December.

This season Nypan has scored six goals and has provided six assists, having established himself as a regular starter in the Rosenborg team.

Manchester United would be buying a player who at a young age is amassing real experience in senior football, and is stepping up as a standout player.

Nypan scored a hat-trick for Rosenborg last month, becoming the first Norwegian 17-year-old to do so in their top flight since Erling Haaland, 99 days younger too.

Harry Redknapp has tipped Dominic Solanke to score for Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, while Erik ten Hag is looking for a Manchester United win to reduce the pressure on his job.

In quotes carried by the Manchester Evening News, former Tottenham boss Redknapp predicted a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday. He discussed how unreliable Ten Hag’s side are and backed Solanke to add to his Tottenham tally.

“Just as soon as Manchester United start to settle down and play, they have a couple of lacklustre performances and everybody’s back to square one,” he said.

“You never know which United are going to turn up. I think they’ll surprise everyone this weekend with a decent performance, but it’ll be frustration time at Old Trafford yet again.

“All credit to Ange Postecoglou in Europe, they [Spurs] went down to 10 men early in the game, but his team produced a professional performance to win the game 3-0.

“Spurs were sensational against Brentford and it’s encouraging to see Dominic Solanke banging them in. That’s just what any new player needs.

Man Utd may lose if unable to score more than 1 goal.

Easiest is to demote them to U21 squad. Maybe can score 6 goals in a match. Lol.

Sancho had been assisting since he played for Chelsea.
he has more assists than our midfielders combined.

when you have so many ex players doing better after leaving the club, it can only mean 1 thing. ETH sucks when it comes to getting the best out of the players and playing to their strengths.

#10 can only work with his former players or those who had played in the dutch league… having said that; it is no guarantee of success in England.

Man Utd players are not scoring. This is the main reason for the under performances & bad results. If these players are able to score 2 goals a game Man Utd will be winning many games & could easily be in the top 4.

Arsenal already changed from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 because Martin Odegaard is injured.

Ten Hag confirmed will be sacked if lose to Tottenham & Aston Villa. Because Man Utd already mid table (11th place) & losing 6 points will be very difficult to close the gap with the top 4 team.

Ten Hag can say whatever positive he wants but the points & 11th place already show the team is doing worse than last season. Fulham, Newcastle, Forest & Brighton are above Man Utd.

Fernandes' most prolific spell of his Man Utd career has been followed by his longest drought.

His failure to break the streak has not been through a want of trying. Just ask any Manchester United fan who has agonised at Fernandes' speculative and sometimes desperate attempts to find the net. (There were two shots against Southampton recently which were each given barely more than a one per cent chance of going in by Opta.)

He has had 30 shots without success during the past dozen matches.

His total of 17 attempts in the Premier League this season is the highest of any player yet to score in Europe's major divisions.

Man Utd rank third for expected goals this season in the Premier League, with a total of 9.10. The quality of openings they are carving out is impressively high. But they have missed more big chances than any side in the division, spurning 17 out of 19 clear-cut opportunities. Only relegation-threatened Southampton have a worse conversion rate.

This season it is Fernandes turn to play badly. He signed his new contract before the season started. Still have not scored 1 goal.

Yoro could return to action in November while Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof are all closing in on a return to action as well.

Don't really need to be a rocket scientist to know this.

so we are starting with the midfield 3 that everyone wanted cos Casemiro has no legs.

Let's see if the front 3 can finish the chances.
