https://www.cimb.com.sg/en/personal...ions/accounts/sg-my-funds-transfer-promo.html

This website FAQ below say open Fastsaver SG, up to 7 business days for approval.

Step 1 – Open a CIMB FastSaver Account

and Ask EVA (at the bottom right of the page) to schedule for an appointment for a CIMB Malaysia Account.

Step 2 – Sign up for CIMB Clicks.

Step 3 – Link your own CIMB Malaysia Account via CIMB Clicks Online Banking (Services > Link my CIMB > Malaysia A/C). Your request will be processed within 3 working days and an SMS will be sent to you upon approval.

For the step: Ask EVA (at the bottom right of the page) to schedule for an appointment for a CIMB Malaysia Account.

Meaning CIMB (SG) will schedule an appointment for a CIMB (Malaysia account) IN singapore or IN Malaysia?

In Singapore, at CIMB Plaza, Raffles place. Actually i showed up much earlier like 2 hrs earlier than my appointment, they also just let me take queue number and 5 mins wait, got called, took about 30 mins to settle the forms and signing.

Will take maybe 2 weeks after that, need to mail the documents over to Malaysia, and wait for them to approve, set up the account, and snail mail /courier the card to you. Now i waiting haha.

Keep checking the chatbot everyday, i manage to re-schedule from 23 Oct to 4 Oct just by checking, no need wait so long.

Visit their JB branch with your passport. They may also ask for NRIC and another photo ID like driving license or other card with your name.

New card will be issued on the spot.

Courier delivered the letter and debit card yesterday. Last friday my appointment, 1 week arrive liao.

Have to IDD call their hotline to change the debit card PIN, took me less than 2 minutes call, all automated.

Then i link my malaysia account in my Singapore account, they say 3-5 working days, see how long it takes.

After that i also do the CIMB CLICKS MY account setup and login on the phone app, 12 hour cooldown period begin.

Now wait for account to link, then transfer over RM500 to activate account

Currently in CIMB Jalan Kuning Dua branch, you need to provide payslip and bank statement showing salary credit on top of just bringing Passport and NRIC.

I was told to renew my passport as the one I use for opening the account will expire at the end of this month. The letter said to update my passport details before the expiry date of my old passport. Yet, I got another letter saying that they didn't hear from me and has started the process to close my account. Anyone encounter this before?

first letter was dated Oct 1. Second letter was Oct. 15 and I received it yesterday. My passport expired Oct. 31. The first letter said I need to update before Oct. 31. Then suddenly a new letter says they didn't hear from me. Acutally, I went down to the branch in Raffles Place. They can do it but no gurantee and advice me to go down personally in Malaysia. I was planning to do it tomorrow and then the termination letter came.
