In an ideal world, maybe

Still remember the AHTC case?

Also don't forget that they also "take instructions" from their boss ;)
But seriously, even though they won the AHTC case and they may win this Pritam Singh witchhunt case they already have lost in the court of public opinion liao. :o

I thought a layman could have a reasonable question that the redacted messages could be related to what happened on 8 Aug and 3 Oct. How could one simply just assume that it's not relevant w/o reading it? Hmmmm

Nvr see, but the prosecutor already know not relevant 🤣haha

"The prosecutor notes that the first charge that Singh faces has to do with what happened on Aug 8, 2021, while the second charge has to do with what happened on Oct 3, 2021."

Funny he pinpoint just these 2 dates. So only take evidence from what happen on these 2 dates only?

Just based on these w dates happening can charge PS?
Ya sia.. anything that happened on other date not relevant.. 😂

Ya, but I was referring to the release of the redacted messages

The bar is high indeed and so many of us can't help but wonder what's the real intention...
The intention of what?

“The defence is inviting Your Honour to go into the integrity of the COP process. What will they do with (that)? They will use it for whatever purposes they want.

“That is the only finding that can come out of this exercise.”

i think in sg, cases have to be heard from start to finish. don't think can halfway decide to throw out the case...
No need.

Judge can throw out the case if he is sure that the prosecution no longer has a valid case, either through the reveal of decisive evidence or the impeachment of all relevant witnesses thus with no one left to testify against the accused.

Prosecutor can also withdraw their charges halfway.

etc.

can they actually charge YN for obstruction of justice ah? seems like by taking out certain messages that he find "immaterial" they had made COP and the courts so bz..
They can, but they probably are worried about YN biting back on them by revealing certain questionable things did during COP. Now they are on the same team of fixing Pritam still ok but once dog bite dog then u see sh!t hits the fan if they fix YN too.

cannot anyhowly admit evidence to court if it is not relevant mah. so it is up to the lawyers to convince the court it is "relevant", and that bar is as you said quite high. but don't think at this point those messages is a "secret" bah.

prosecutor will never ever try out the case here because it will look so bad on them... but then again things arent looking so great?

Of having this trial so close to GE ;)
I can see the intention very well leh.

It is to fix and smear Pritam Singh and Workers Party, even if PS win the case then hopefully enough dirt was dug up during the trial to turn off voters against PS and WP and hope the daft voters believe in the narrative. :s22:
