YN is a phd, highly educated and precise on paper. this is the kind of witness you want depending on whatever

but so far everyone finds him somewhat chalat, slimy or manipulative or whatever. and you still want to roll with him? its like a ceo calibre saying i dont know and cannot recall, i think a judge will scold them good good. but just look at it, the optics is quite bad

It is regrettable that Mr Singh attacked those two young persons, who spoke the truth. It is quite
un-Parliamentary, and quite shameful conduct, on the part of Mr Singh, to accuse them of lying.
The Committee accepts the evidence of Ms Loh and Mr Nathan. The Committee finds Ms Loh
and Mr Nathan to be honest and credible in their testimony. Their testimony is consistent with
contemporaneous evidence, and conduct. Mr Singh’s testimony is not consistent with his conduct
or the contemporaneous evidence.

I can see the intention very well leh.

It is to fix and smear Pritam Singh and Workers Party, even if PS win the case then hopefully enough dirt was dug up during the trial to turn off voters against PS and WP and hope the daft voters believe in the narrative. :s22:
Ya, AIM all over again

Even if PS isn't found guilty, it would have tied up a lot of his time and resources...

“The defence is inviting Your Honour to go into the integrity of the COP process. What will they do with (that)? They will use it for whatever purposes they want.

“That is the only finding that can come out of this exercise.”

Defence asks for redacted and unredacted versions of Yudhishthra Nathan’s COP evidence

Mr Andre Jumabhoy says the defence is seeking the unredacted version of Mr Yudhishthra Nathan’s evidence to the Committee of Privileges (COP), as well as the same set of documents, but with the redactions and the reasons given for them.

This is a reasonable line of inquiry as it goes directly to whether Mr Nathan's and Ms Loh Pei Ying’s testimonies are credible, says Mr Jumabhoy. “I’m not here to challenge the findings of the COP… (but) these witnesses’ credibility is very much an issue,” he adds.

The prosecution says Mr Jumabhoy is seeking to show that the witnesses had hid evidence before the COP, and to get the judge to rule on the COP’s proceedings.

Deputy Attorney-General Ang Cheng Hock says: “The defence is inviting Your Honour to go into the integrity of the COP process. What will they do with (that)? They will use it for whatever purposes they want.

“That is the only finding that can come out of this exercise.”

Deputy Principal District Judge Luke Tan says during this exchange that he will not make any findings about the COP’s proceedings because that is not relevant to this trial.

185. Mr Singh casts aspersions on Ms Khan (in respect of her mental health); and on Ms Loh and Mr
Nathan (alleging that they were liars).381 He did so, in an attempt to save himself, and avoid
responsibility for his own conduct.
so..........

cannot anyhowly admit evidence to court if it is not relevant mah. so it is up to the lawyers to convince the court it is "relevant", and that bar is as you said quite high. but don't think at this point those messages is a "secret" bah.
Not privy to the information about the messages

But from the defense's argument, it seems like they don't have a copy of the redacted messages, especially the reasons for them be redacted, suggesting these messages are not public information

Deputy Principal District Judge Luke Tan to review message logs alongside evidence from Yudhishthra Nathan

District Judge Luke Tan says that while the messages in question were sent after Oct 4, 2021, they might relate to the testimonies of Mr Yudishthra Nathan and Ms Loh Pei Ying about their meeting with Pritam Singh on October 12, 2021.

Mr Nathan and Ms Loh had testified in court that it was during this meeting that Singh told them he met Ms Raeesah Khan on Oct 3, 2021, and had told Ms Khan he would not judge her regardless of whether she maintained her lie or clarified it.

“So the issue of their credibility especially leading up to the 12th, and even on the 12th, is an issue. Because it goes to whether their evidence is to be believed or not,” says Judge Tan.

Deputy Attorney-General Ang Cheng Hock says “differences between them on the 12th is actually very narrow”, but adds that he will deal with this at the appropriate time.

He adds that the prosecution will present one set of unredacted messages from Mr Nathan from Oct 4 to Oct 12, as well as a set with redactions that was submitted to the Committee of Privileges, and the reasons for the redaction.

The Judge says he will need to review the documents alongside Mr Nathan’s evidence, before making a decision on the matter.

The hearing has ended for the day and will resume at 11am tomorrow.

so..........
idk, if the genesis was born out of a lie that got escalated to cop and they charged ps for him lying on a lie that was not his, how does it work?

they just want to charge ps for a lying in parliament, regardless if it was lying for a real underlying story or not. thats seems like clickbait
