My outdoor thermometer recorded highest temp reached more than 48 degrees that day while lowest was 24.8 degrees on Saturday during the heavy rain.
Something is wrong with your thermometer ?

Max temperature in SG is 35-36C only.

Nope.

I compared with a few other thermometers when indoors showing between 30 and 35 degrees daytime and the variance is usually less than 1 degrees between the thermometers. The low of 24 degrees during the thunderstorm that day is also a reasonable temp.

I don't know how they measure, maybe the temp measurement is done under shade. But directly under sunlight during 12pm to 3pm temp is certainly more than 35 or 36 degrees.

I still don't know how to attach pic. Haha.

30-35C is correct in SG.

48C is not possible yet in SG.
