Defence lawyer Andre Jumabhoy says the defence will be making a submission on the first charge against Pritam Singh, and proposes to file the submission on Oct 30.

Deputy Attorney-General Ang Cheng Hock says the prosecution will be filing a reply by Nov 1.

Deputy Principal District Judge Luke Tan suggests that the defence should file its submissions by noon on Oct 30, and the prosecution should reply by the end of the day on Nov 1. Both parties agree.

The hearing is adjourned and the next tranche of the trial will begin at 9.30am on Nov 5.
