Yes, this is true

1 & only Hwa Heng stall is at Bendemeer. They are the original Odean beef noodles.
The one at Jalan Besar is not from them. Perhaps just merely tagging on to the name. Other "Hwa Heng" stalls spotted using the same signboard as the one at Jalan Besar is from another franchise

To me, the one at Bendemeer is the familiar old sch taste, SG-styled beef noodles, which started off during my childhood years. Then to the old food court at Scotts & Marina Sq

Taste is very subjective & up to individual. Their taste works well for me. Portion is alot for their price

The one at TPY lor 7 mkt which is similar, is their relative iirc. Read somewhere in the papers

what do u think is 2nd best to this? Seems they only opened half a week and short hours too.

Still miss those middle road back lane dry beef noodles with kiam chye n peanut garnish😩
Nowadays, they don't serve it that way anymore? The one I ate at Tampines block 445 is still with kiam chye and grounded peanut.

None to me as I've tried only a few, including the famous brands. Some I find their soup overly salty, or the portion is quite small, or it's not value for $. So I just go back to them if I have any craving for local beef noodles.
Same like in KL, there's this particular beef store that I always go to when I'm there

Yeah... Open from Wed to Sat. Late morn to about 230pm/3pm for them. Seems like short operating hours but also need to cater the time for preparation. Furthermore, there's always a perpetual long q & she needs to work non-stop. Even a office worker also can stop for a while & take a breather 😅

I always go after peak lunch hours.... Lol
But you can check this thread or other threads for earlybird timings

Depends on what you wanna eat. I go for beef slices, balls & tendons
Soup with rice, or dry with noodles work just as well for me

Hwa Heng at Bendemeer never short cut on preparation time and ingredients. This is the real McCoy. I was told many of the beef ingredients like tendon and bones are freshly cooked for many many hours and they always finished selling by the time they closed.

Anyone tried from both the Bendemeer and Jalan Besar stalls before? Any difference in taste/quality?

Anywhere else can find good and wallet-friendly beef noodles?
tried the jalan besar, not nice... too salty
i still preferred the one in the past at shaw centre foodcourt and then moved to ion foodcourt
but ion outlet closed down for good
