I stay in a area with poor receptions. sometimes even will have no recepttions.
Smart home device need to be connnected 24/7, hence this is the reason.
those with strong receptions can proceed to replace the home broadband

I actually did it using Simba and a d-link router for more than a year.

But the router too basic so have device limit. Switched to fiber so won't be limited by 100gb cap.

Im using Singtel. My area the mobile connection isnt stable. most of the time is only 1 to 2 bar.
sometimes will have no mobile connections. I have residents here using M1 / Gomo / SH all same issue.
To replace fibre with mobile plan, meaning its sim card / mobile signal. Fibre/home BB is using wired/LAN connection which is constant/stable unless the ISP down.

If only there's no issue with mobile connection, will definitely try to replace. But I wondering how fast is a 5G sim card , as at night there will be usage of TV with youtubes, mobiles with youtube and Laptop with netflix etc.

My Mesh has over 30 devices connected to it .

Yeah, you're right. It has a SMS section. I must have missed it earlier.
So can you see SMS in your Deco app using Deco 5G? I’m curious if it works, so that next time if I change SIM card plan, I don’t have to worry about not being able to receive SMS OTP

I think since you do Netflix and TV on your home internet, together with 30 devices connected, it’s probably just best for you to use fibre.

My case not so complex. My parents only watch local TV, then they watch videos on YouTube and some stock market live-streaming platform. I use YouTube on mobile, Udemy on laptop and download software updates on laptop. My home only 8 devices connected.

though I used about 180GB in my first week of using SIM card for home internet, because I was setting up a new laptop. But the 180GB also includes my parents’ usage

yes thats why i say with a smart home, a bit hard to replace home BB / Fibre.
over 30 devices connected constantly, with a few / some connected when its switched on(e.g Oven , Dishwasher , washing machine etc)
Last time when I set up this smart home, I tot of going for 500mbps plans, but end up going with 1GBps plan after the ID and the one who help me set up recommend.
