It shows that however normal a person is.. if the mind is weak can easily be influenced by scammers... even when police advise them.. this type is hopeless...

The intention behind this bill is good, i.e the police have the power now to control the bank accounts of suspected scam victims.

That being said, it's worrying that under Shan, the police (and other agencies) are getting a lot of power to interfere in ordinary peoples' lives. Although no one is alleging anything or anyone, but the fact is that there will exists a scenario where a corrupted personnel can abuse such power for his own benefit.

Already got such scenario. Pegasus spyware.
Procured with tax money under the guise of counter-terrorism, only known for spying on critics and oppositions.

Also, can't reveal victim's identity, yet also didn't reveal anything significant about the scammer.

Looks like fake news or false flag ops.

police and banks should just let those idiots sign an indemnity and release form.

if those idiots turn around and make police report to demand for help; their names, nric, home address and photos together with the scammed amount be published on website (can be downloaded by anyone) and printed on papers BIG BIG. FONT SIZE 50 kind.

2 outcomes will happen. stupid people will wisen up, stupid people will commit mass suicide.

either way, positive end to a positive outcome.

their intention is to have more control over you.
whether these "scam victims" exist or not, is another story.
mainstream media can print anything they want to justify tyranny.

so fast forget about covid already?
