Link please. I could not find such offer in Taobao.

I tend to think you may mix up with TUF-BE3600. Often the two routers are combined in the same link.
Xiaofan, TUF-BE6500 & HB710? Which one is more value for money? Planning to use it as a AP to pair with nokia xs-2426x-a

Nice. Do you have clearer version of the picture to show the CPU model? Thanks.

What about the RAM and Flash?
Unfortunately I think CPU and RAM covered during teardown. Done for FCC certification, but almost certainly Qualcomm 1.5Ghz cpu and as you said, about 1GB of ram

After some CSI, I figured out the CPU in the HB710. It's actually shown in one of the pictures. It's the Qualcomm IPQ5322. That is part of Qualcomms Immersive Home 326 WiFi Platform. Everything fits: 1.5Ghz CPU and 2 10G Ethernet ports. Even has that USB 2.0 port.

BTW, some users may notice the different wireless spec published for HB710 from TP-Link US and TP-Link SG.

I do not think we need to worry about the difference as EHT240 is difficult to achieve in SG.

US -- BE21000
https://www.tp-link.com/us/service-provider/home-wifi-system/hb710/#specifications
BE21000
6 GHz: Up to 11520 Mbps (EHT320)
5 GHz: Up to 8640 Mbps (EHT240)
2.4 GHz: Up to 688 Mbps (EHT40)*

SG -- BE18000 (SGSH version, SGMR version is the same)
https://www.tp-link.com/sg/service-provider/wifi-router/hb710/#specifications
BE18000
6 GHz: Up to 11520 Mbps (EHT320)
5 GHz: Up to 5760 Mbps (EHT160)
2.4 GHz: Up to 688 Mbps (EHT40)*

Great. Thanks for the updates.

IPQ5322 and 1GB RAM are good match for TP-Link HB710 as a mid-range WiFi 7 router.

Qualcomm IPQ5322 is a popular mid-range CPU for WiFi 7 routers. I have Asus TUF-BE6500 and TP-Link TL-7DR6560 and both of them are using IPQ5322.

The good thing is that the IHP 326 supports AFC, so its possible for the HB710 to have a much more powerful 6Ghz band from a future firmware update

Might be a typo because further down the overview page and for the rest of the page, it says its a BE18000....

A pity local and mainstream reviewers don’t practice tear downs

Mostly chinese or middle eastern europe reviewers more hardcore

@Dr.Vijay can request SH tplink to sponsor me do teardown reviews their router? :o

There are practical reasons why such content is limited in Singapore, but it's squarely because of our limited population and relevance to neighbouring countries. In a nutshell, that greatly limits reach, and so why it works out better elsewhere.

But that aside, if you're game for it, I can talk to TP-Link about it. Telcos will not endorse or want such content.

Drop me a PM when you're free and have a content plan/idea for it :)

Haha, you are really into this 2GB RAM thingy.

I am also very much particular about the CPU used and the amount of RAM used.

Asus usually publishes the RAM and Flash size, but no details about the exact CPU used (but easy to guess based on the description of the CPU).

For WiFi 7 routers, TP-Link does not publish the info about CPU, RAM size and flash size. They actually mention in their forum whether to publish such info is a business decision.

For EB810/HB810, I tend to believe that the initial versions may have 2GB RAM installed (based on earlier teardown reports). However, later production may only have 1GB RAM installed. Most of the users may not know anyway. And even if the users notice the RAM usage is 50% or 60%, that is perfectly fine anyway. Only if it is reaching 90% you may need to be worried.

Asus FW is more complicated and I guess they may consume more RAM than TP-Link. That does not prevent Asus to use 1GB RAM for lower cost models like RT-BE86U (single 10G ports and quad 2.5G ports) and ZenWiFi BT10 (dual 10G ports).
TP-Link also never mention the CPU.

Unlikely they will dare to do that, unless you promise to give a good review on their product.

Most of TP-Link networking products are well priced for the segment they target, except for the polishing of the UI/UX on some aspects (mainly for power users), very unlikely they would need to "fudge" the review to get a positive spin.
