A day trip to JB sounds awesome! I’d suggest starting at Johor Bahru City Square; it's a great spot for shopping and has plenty of food options too. You’ve got to try the laksa and satay while you’re there—super tasty! If you have time, definitely check out the Sultan Ibrahim Building and take a stroll around Danga Bay for some nice views. It’s a chill way to soak up the vibe of the city.

Any review abt R&F? I see the link way tempted to go, but scared walk all the way Liao it’s just the same.

R&F mall can skip~ think of tamp hub, part aircon, part outdoor~ the cinema also closed down~ :s22:

Thanks for the update. Watched movie there before when cinema was new. Looks like unable to survive covid.

if you want to eat good value and taste seafood. you to Grand Bayview seafood. there is outdoor and indoor seating. typically for SGD150 - you get to eat crabs, clams, soup, fried rice, veg, chicken and drinks + Beer. can feed up to 4 - 5 pax

sutera mall got what? i pass by last week only got 1 very big KTV
anyway i go the NSK nearby
Sutera Mall does not have sinkies infestation. More importantly, it got Verbena Bakery. Beats Lavender hands down.

Also, nice supermarket.

"Lok kok" malls but not decrepit :
KSL, Holiday Plaza, Pelangi, Sentosa, Angsana, Galleria Kotaraya

'Newer' better run malls:
City Square, Komtar , Paradigm, Midvalley, Aeon Tebrau, Toppen, R&F, Johor Premium Outlet

There are many other malls I have not listed.
The ones bolded are I believe more popular with Singaporeans, or at least what I feel.
Broadly speaking KSL / Holiday Plaza esp for cheaper haircuts / pedi manicure / facials etc.

moi went jb for the 1st time recently and went ksl... actually there gotch nothing much other than lots of hair salons and massage parlours... then also gotch a cinema which shows movies in cantonese... :s22::frown:

might slowly start exploring those bolded to see howl they ish... should be cheaper than here?? :s12::frown:

On the whole better prices than sg esp if u r referring to doing nails / hair.

But prices in general are also rising esp in JBCC area.
