Did you have mood swings before this ? Yes, normally due to what ? How long did it last and how you handled to stop it ?
Did you practise buddhism or learn about buddhism before this ?

南无阿弥陀佛
Bro, oh no, after my wife passed on last Oct.....
How I handle it? I let the thoughts come n tell myself let it go....n do silent chanting...

good. so it's not a habitual response... and hopefully not developed into a habitual one.

If you and your wife's 缘 has not been exhausted, then you will definitely see her again and may even get married once more in your future lives.
If there is no more 缘, then you will definitely not see her again or even if you walk on the street passing each other, you will not even look at each other.
You need to recognise that and accept that => 看破. To see-through reality. Don't let this go lightly. You have to believe this.
What you are going through now does nothing other than making yourself sad and... suffer. => 要放下

So do nothing ? No... do something. Develop a daily habit of recital. This create a sense of calmness inside => 定. Don't just do adhoc recitals, also do daily timed practice. In your daily practice, recite the buddha's name and push out all other thoughts and focus on the buddha's name with no breaks in between. This will help you manage your thoughts and control your emotions better.

南无阿弥陀佛
Thanks bro.

Sorry I dont really understand the below:
If you and your wife's 缘 has not been exhausted, then you will definitely see her again and may even get married once more in your future lives.
If there is no more 缘, then you will definitely not see her again or even if you walk on the street passing each other, you will not even look at each other.

Why you and your wife becomes a couple is due to your past lives 缘。If no 缘, you will not meet. So it depends on whether you still have 缘 with your wife. Same for your mother and your kids. You all come together to form a family because of your past lives 缘。

南无阿弥陀佛
Tgks bro.
Meaning it will be next life already.

No... meaning that nothing you can do ... how you feel about it, your emotions... will bring you back with your wife or not, even in your future lives. It will be according to fate. You have no control over it. Your mood swings does nothing for you but making you suffer. So you better off living your life by not causing more suffering to yourself and let fate take it own course. => 要看破 !
Understand this and it will be easier to let go...

南无阿弥陀佛
thanks bro...appreciate your explanation.

Nowadays, young people don't want to get married. Is it because of no 姻缘 or other reasons from a buddhist perspective ? What you think ?

南无阿弥陀佛
They say that marriage is an institution for the blind. I feel that there are too many 'woke' views these days in the world, young people see things too clearly, so it obstructs them from falling in love. To me, love and marriage are supposed to be enjoyable, sweet and endearing especially during the initial stages, they are also supposed to be enduring experiences in life till "death do us part". One is better embracing romance if it comes your way, don't avoid love, there's much to be learned from the marital experience. I have also been an advocate of procreation, I believe that giving birth to babies is a unique calling in life and looking after offsprings and granting the gift of life is a special, noble right of human beings.

You don't have to agree with me, and my views are not necessary aligned with the Buddha's, but at least these are my personal views. Better one's own truth no matter how trivial, than the truth of another however noble. Thank you.

heavy rainfall in Nakhon Si Thammarat province caused water levels in some tributaries to rise. In Tha Sala district, strong currents eroded the ground beneath a temple pavilion

pray for safety 🙏

@zeebrugge , 1st Jan Wednesday, will be going to kms. Will reach there around 730am.

Oh I forgot to call kms on the canteen open or not.
Haha ok. This is KMSPKS' main line: 68495300.

I most likely won't be going, been coughing quite badly so don't want to go around spreading the germs. Last night even puked a little blood while spitting out my phelgm, so most likely would stay at home or go to the hospital tomorrow. Wish you good good la! Enjoy yourself! It's a good experience!

NAMO AMITUOFO 南无阿弥陀佛

By reciting Namo Amitabha Buddha, we are protected by the Buddhas and Sages.

念佛佛圣护

.....When we clearly understand the reality of impermanence, we seek liberation from this transient existence. The best path is to recite “Namo Amitabha Buddha” and attain rebirth in Amitabha’s Pure Land. There, we enjoy the same infinite light and infinite life as Amitabha...... - By Master Zhisui

Calling upon the sacred name "Namo Amituofo".

Many misunderstand this fundamental truth of constant change as being pessimistic. But the fleeting nature of existence isn’t pessimism - it’s simply reality.

Understanding life’s impermanence isn’t meant to make us despair about life. Rather, it reveals the universal law about existence - impermanence is just how things are.

We tend to see death as distant and unrelated to our lives. Though we know countless people die each day around the world, these deaths feel remote and don’t seem to mean anything since they don’t touch us personally. Only when death claims the life of our loved ones does its reality truly hit home. This shows how numb we’ve become to impermanence. We’re so numb that we only grasp life’s transient nature when confronted by the personal loss of loved ones. Otherwise, we remain completely oblivious to it.

All the objects that you investigate in the world are changing, unsatisfactory and not-self.
There's nothing lasting to be found.
All things arise dependent on other factors and then fall apart.
Whatever the object: If it exists in the world, it has to fall apart.
If it doesn't fall apart, we will.
If it doesn't break up, we'll break up.
If it doesn't leave, we'll leave - because this world is full of leaving and separation through the principles of nature.
So, investigate with wisdom in this way to understand them clearly before they leave us or we leave them, and then let them go in line with the truth. - Ajahn Maha Bua

When we can do this, the mind will be at ease.

The Chicken in the Cage

It’s like having a chicken and putting it into a cage. Let it stay in just one cage. When the chicken’s in the cage, it won’t get out of the cage, but it will walk back and forth inside the cage. Its walking back and forth is no problem, because it’s walking back and forth in the cage.

It’s like the things we sense in the mind when we’re mindful and still. When we sense things in the stillness, it doesn’t disturb us. When we think and sense things in the stillness, it’s no problem.

Some people, when they sense things, don’t want there to be anything there. That’s wrong. There are things you’ll sense in the stillness—you’ll sense them, but they won’t annoy you. The mind is still. There’s no problem.

The problem is when the chicken leaves the cage. For example, you’re focused on the breath but then you forget. You go traveling to your home or into the market—way out there. Sometimes it takes half an hour to come back. That’s dying without knowing what’s happening. This is important, so be careful. This is important. The mind has left the cage. It’s left its stillness. You have to be careful. You have to be mindful. As soon as you’re aware that it’s left, you have to pull it back in—although to say that you pull it back in, you’re not really pulling it back in. Wherever your thoughts go, it’s just a matter of changing what you sense. When you get the mind to stay here, it stays here. As long as you’re mindful, it stays here. It doesn’t go anywhere. The change is right here in the mind. Notice that when it seems to go over there, it doesn’t really go. The change happens right here. As soon as your mindfulness remembers again, it’s immediately here. It doesn’t leave from here. Everything is sensed right here.
