Can I say the xtra Herman miller is made in US while the Audio SG and other resellers are made in China?

I found another reseller selling at $1070. Seems like competition is intense

My AudioSG aeron remastered made in USA (saw the tag). Came to this thread to research about mesh tear. Used for about 5 years suddenly got small tear, then seem to be growing bigger bit by bit, similarly to a post last year few pages away. Can't post photo on mobile.

The understanding is that the parallel importers do not cover mesh tears under warranty, and replacement parts will be easily $300+.

My question is will Xtra cover such defects under official warranty? If so, it might make sense to pay the additional $500.

I bought mine from unwanted, and had done 3 out-of-pocket repairs since 2018. Never abused the chair, no solvents, nor exposure to direct sunlight. Count me unlucky.

Wfh during covid. Then now only wfh about 1 to 2 days. I noticed the hole over the weekend. I bought thinking that I'm paying a premium for the 12 years warranty and apparently after research the mesh is hardly covered under warranty. Still waiting for AudioSG to get back on the replacement process.

Could be better to buy a few hundred dollars mesh chair and perhaps even change every few years.

Oh my, 3 repairs over 7 years..
From my googling yesterday, the after sales service by Xtra might be better but on covering the mesh, I've seen different mentions of coverage. There are also numerous reports of HM official company not covering mesh tear in HM reddit threads.

Not the remastered Aeron, but I manage to claim both seat and back mesh from Xtra on my Classic Aeron.
