Entry level Mercedes are not reliable and people are just highlighting this to TS out of kindness. I where got kpkb?
It could be out of his intended budget. You might as well say buy Porsche or Lamborghini. Your advice is really out of point.
So easy to give cheap advice: buy rolls Royce. Confirm comfortable.

Test drove GLB but didn’t quite like the dynamics.. felt it fared quite poorly in terms of NVH for a merc. The electric version is slightly better but only slightly.

What only E class?
It's an underpowered ah pek car!
You should be driving at least AMG S-class or Maybach S-class!!! E class neither here nor there. Want true luxury is S class minimum!!!

Haha I'm just joking but hope you understand how it feels now with all these ridiculous comments.

Curious to know what "high end merc" you are driving currently?

I realise there are alot of people against entry level conti in this forum. I drive a ES300H and I don't look down on people buying LBX or UX. Then again people say it's a Toyota so maybe it doesn't matter.

But i suspect most of these people either drive a normal car and cannot afford an entry level conti, or simply not drive at all.
I agree bro. Most people probably can’t afford and look down on others. To be fair, I drive a A200. This is my first car that I bought in SG. I opt for a smaller car cos it’s my wife who drives most of the time, and she doesn’t have much driving experience in SG. I could have easily afford an E class or S class. But what’s the point? An A class is good enough for my small family. I rarely drive on the expressway anyway. Don’t need to drive at 160km/h. :s13:

You made a good point that it could be out of TS intended budget. I think everyone can sense this. That is also why people are advising other options because the worst case and very likely scenario for a second hand entry level Mercedes is a lemon.
My friend bought a brand new GLC, after a few years it developed problem and he quickly sold it so good luck to the next buyer. There are many such stories.

I only wrote: “
I will not touch an A or B series Mercedes.
The only GLB I would consider is a GLB35 AMG.”
It’s true.. the base glb being fwd isn’t nice to drive. The glb35 with 4matic is quite awesome. it’s the same for glc200 which is only rwd.. it feels very odd.

have alot of experience cos c&c constantly provide diff kinds of replacement car for me while my own merc spends time at the service centre 😂

Thanks for clarifying bro. Everyone’s driving experience is different. I drive an A200 for 5+ years and it hasn’t given me a problem (touch wood). It’s good enough for city driving. I rarely drive on the expressway, maybe 1-2 times a month.

My E Class has a V6 engine but I agree with you, it feels underpowered to me. My wife also complained that it is ah pek car. Also it has various minor problems with suspension, transmission etc. I hope to upgrade but COE is too high now.
All the best to your car purchase. 👍🏻

I would go for the badge anytime bro. You buy a car for 10 years. Drive a high performance car no badge vs a lower performance car with badge. Lots of difference…

already spend $100k on COE and drive a no badge car. Might as well take public transport or PHV/taxi sua. Maybe blue sg.

Totally agree for the larger budget

Eg Honda accord at $300k
Might as well get conti eg C class sedan even though c180 or c200

Thanks bro.
We drive what we like and whatever fit our lifestyle.

These nameless people on internet always have things to say because of a chip on their shoulders.

Most of these jiao wei people might not be able to afford even an entry level conti, or a car for that matter. Come in tok cok about entry level car cannot keep up in lane 1, unreliable, etc.

Actually my question was what is the difference between glb180 from AD and glb200 from PI, that's all.

I didnt know this simple question about a family car can lure out all the insecure people who cannot stand people buying an entry level mercs. Machiam buy entry level mercs is a crime because it is "not a performance car."

I wonder what kind of "performance car" are these Max Verstappen wannbes driving. Wrx or evo? Or M3 M4? Stage 1 or stage 2 tuned? I honestly don't care for these vehicles when I'm obviously looking for family car.

@ceecookie even more funny, openly sharing his criminal act of driving 160kmh in bke, thinking that he can impress others.

But I suspect most of these people just travel in mercedes citaro and driving their imaginary gtr in arcades...
Btw the C&c GLB180 is only single zone aircon and no rear aircon by default... remember to ask your salesperson to throw in for free they can install the rear aircon outlet but will still be single zone controlled from front...never understood why they did not want to just provide a proper aircon climate control

If you buy new, you will know the condition of the car very well. If you take care and maintain it properly it should serve you well.
One great feature of German cars is that they are solidly built like a tank and protects the driver well, unlike Japanese cars which deform with the slightest touch.
