No one will pay gazillions to gain access to these AI features, u either have to make it free or have a very low cost subscription. It's a stupid money sink for investors; Billions for a text/image generator.

There a limit to how far it can achieve without advanced chips. What US now should do is to enforce a thorough block of all supply of chips and equipment to China to stop it from making further advances in AI. This is not the end of competition. The winner is yet to be known.

It's not about the chip. It's about the technique (large language model) which is used to emulate AI and that technique has it's limits.

They aren't making money from text/image generator lah. Same like social media, where got money about ppl posting their lunch and family photos. It's about the ads, pattern / image / text recognition and behavior analytics insights.

All this ai is learning and the value lies in the model they manage to build. You know all those captcha you do, you are actually helping to teach google ai/ml model. Even you ask chatgpt you are helping them to build their model as it gets looped back in.

guess which AI did it at first try with no errors? the other one failed badly, and need 5 more prompts to get it right.
