Deepseek may inspire other companies to build their own AI system since the cost looks more manageable so there should be new groups of buyers for Nvidia now.

ya, deepseek pichiak lobang openai secret training method for o1 that use RL then built one based on meta's llama to one up openai by revealing it online as open source first. actually i believe since o1 openai already knew it can tweak nvidia gpu and drastically lowered their training costs just that they didnt reveal so they can charge the same for more advanced models. likely got espionage in openai revealed the secret how they rewire gpu + train o1.

anyway now every big tech companies know how they can optimise their models. but the prob is whether this rl method will allow AI company to reach AGI. i actually dun think RL would be the way to reach the holy grail AGI.
