I would get free flat for my next BTO too unless the purchasing price is more than the selling price of the current flat

Obviously we or HDB do not know who the prospective renters are.

Why the HDB sbf sale of balance . Have mixture of new flats and old flats put on the sale on the same town .
The HDB site did show the unit and blk.
Can we choose from the sbf application .
the new flats from previous bto that become sbf flats this round rather than the very old flats ?
What if after application pay $10 , and success in application.But they only let u choose the old flat which is really very old. And u rejected it.

And believe it will affect the next application chances if reject it.
Imagine success in application .Go to choose but end up tell u only left the blk unit which u familiarise is a fire or crime unit in the past.

Hmm Queenstown and woodland have rental blocks…the rentals are mixed with the normal units so no matter which unit will be together. For Tanjong Rhu it’s a cluster together.
why such prime locations have rental flats one. Imagine you pay 250k for two room then 550K for 5 room and the rental units don’t pay that much.
Sorry to stereotype but typically hoarding and cramped families rent.

its a history thing. workers also need to stay close to their work places before places like Jurong or Yishun are even developed. hence the rental blocks co-exist with the prime hdb blks now.

Last time no option for seniors to buy 99y for 2R, all are short lease. Now they can choose, that's why govt renamed to 2R flexi.

Meanwhile i love to listen to my corlicks bragging how they have the one and only food court in a mall 15min drive and 30mins of finding parking space to buy their daily living necessities or to buy daily food.
But when asked me how long it take for me to get my daily necessities and food as i font own a vehicle, their stunned face is pricesless. I told them it take as long as press 1 on the lift button as supermarkets, lopitiams,barbers,bikechops, clinics,etc all at level 1 of my block. hahahaha

The system let one have cheap house. Aim new town. Like the previous tengah and now chencharu.
