my apologies, yes they started way back when even their free version last longer than anyone else, if we dont include the free 1gb from circle last time. i have since left simba after they are so unstable at my main line, still supporting them using my sub line lol

Do I port over 1 week before contract ends or?

if im not wrong, u need to check whats the terms for porting away or cancelling before the next cycle.
for tpg simba, even tho they bill a few days before the cycle, if u dont port out 7d before the cycle, they still will charge or pro rate the charge. i know this because it happened to me.

Apply online. Once you get the SIM card, activate it and use the maxx app to apply for the porting,. It will happen from 11pm til 3am once confirmed SMS received. Next day just pop the new SIM card in the main tray after you get SMS that porting is successful, restart phone and you are good to go.

Current SIM auto cancel. Check your bespoke app.
M1 will also send you email to say that they will miss you.

Did you sign this M1 contract with a phone purchase? Otherwise M1 SIM-only doesn't come with a 12-month contract, IIRC only 30 days.

Biz plan with mobile phone. If not, I will just port over few days after contract ends to be safe.
