Over 300 healthcare workers in Singapore are urging the government to ban the unsafe transport of migrant workers in lorries after yet another accident left five injured.
Concerned about recurring injuries and fatalities, they are renewing calls for the government to take immediate action.

We should also provide a proper housing for maids.. they do not need to sleep in bimb shelter or windowless store room..
We also need provide an option for any ep professional to access public housing here etc given they are faced with high cost of housing rental too.. their kids should be able to access affordable schools too..

Actually can containerised their dorm mah. Sleep where they work. No need to move here and there. No need to pay greedy dorm operators.

This is very good idea. Because some dorm are far out not easily accessible to mrts.

Then need bigger flats. But HDB is not prepared to build bigger flats cos they scare sinkies rent out spare rooms for $$ which will affect hotel industry.

My area is FW weekend congregation area, still don't understand why they need to go all the way out just to sit at void deck block people way and use phone there. Need to contain them into their dorm area.

Best time was covid time when they stay within their own area

ask alll those who signed, to pay for the enitre year of transport, standard seats and show all receipts

The gov should enforce the speed limiting device for all lorries with immediate effect, not wait til next year.
This can reduce the no. of accidents.

Many of these comm. vehicles driving above speed limits.

We are paying for toilet reno grants, reno for some rented houses liao.
So, does it make any difference ?

Yes. Diff is that 70% would surge to 80%.

Sg Govt should close these SME businesses down which never ensure safety. Not worth endangering other people on the roads, at most these sme bosses downgrade to hdb

- Set up a task force.
- Recommend to provide grant to the companies who need to ferry the workers.
- Case closed.
- Residents foot bill for safety.

Why Residents need to pay?
1) Worker levy used for what?
2) Can mass import no budget for bus?
In before someone bring up that Sentosa cove saga, coy profit buy landed/condo and drive BMW or Merc.
No money for worker bus while this Minister just back Employers excuses.

Lorries drivers is the problem. Speed cap 60kmh see will accident or not..
