SINGAPORE: A new funeral and columbarium complex could be built at Tanah Merah Coast Road in view of the need for after-death facilities in Singapore with an ageing population.
The government has identified a site at Tanah Merah Coast Road to be studied for the potential development of after-death facilities, said the National Environment Agency (NEA) on Thursday (Mar 6).

Gnd floor is walkways, retail and recreation area.
2nd to 4th floor is carpark
5th floor is another recreation area and childcare, elderly care centers
6th floor onward then is the HDB housing.

That road is indeed super ulu, no one goes there, so is really appropriate for such facilities since residents dun like such facilities near their homes.

U didn't read news articles that said people were protesting at columbariums near their homes?

I remember one instance where Seng Kang residents objected to a columbarium being built near their flats.
